We reached out to book Melissa for our wedding because we liked her portfolio. We ended up getting so much more! From start to finish, Melissa was so incredible to work with. She put us at ease, was fun, professional, and honestly a great help on our wedding day. The photos from our wedding are so beautiful, and really captured the feeling of the day. We will absolutely be using Melissa for everything we can moving forward!

I can't really explain how amazing it was to have Melissa capture our wedding day. We knew she was a gem when we worked with her for our engagement shoot, but the magic she worked on the day of was incredible.Melissa not only flew to BC to be with us, but she produced some incredible images. A somewhat cool, cloudy day made our photos have so much beautiful atmosphere under her talented gaze. Our private moments were photographed respectfully and beautifully and our entire wedding party had so much fun with her. She packed us all in her car and we drove out to a field to get some candid shots which turned out to be our favourite. She was always game to go or do whatever we desired and we are so thankful for her hard work and beautiful artistic eye. She moved seamlessly through our wedding guests, was not obtrusive and endeared herself to everyone at the wedding.Melissa truly cared about us as a couple and dedicated herself to capturing our amazing day with exactly the lens we wanted. We will treasure our wedding photos forever and are so grateful that she could be part of our day. 5/5 would recommend if you want beautiful, thoughtful and curated photos of your special day, taken by a super special individual.

If I could leave zero I would.I have two separate family members at different times, use Melissa Chapman as a photographer. On both occasions it took months with no reply to receiving their photos. One had hers in aug and was promised to receive them by begging of Oct for her spouses birthday gift. The deadline promised wasn’t met and she was pregnant so couldn’t redo her images in time.Because they had both paid for the images already, and were not capable of gaining a refund, they had sent emails informing her they would goto small claims if they didn’t receive a response.Eventually (a few months after excuses as to why they couldn’t be complete) they got their images.Awhile later we had all attended a trade show where her booth was up. They had shared in private to another vendor they knew about their negative experience. The other vendor then shared it directly with Melissa.Melissa’s loud response (making sure we all heard in our booth) to these experiences was “well I mean got paid and got my money” followed by laughing with the other vendor.Don’t waste your time with a person who cares only about a pay check and not producing good service.

I’ve had many photo shoot experiences with Melissa over many years and she is truly amazing. Her beautiful aesthetic speaks for itself, her way with people, whether it be for a wedding, engagement session or her work as the “baby whisperer” with her newborn work is beautiful. My experience with Melissa is both professional as a makeup artist as well as being her client several times for photo shoots. I can’t recommend Melissa enough. She’s incredibly talented and she truly cares about her craft and her clients.

Melissa was amazing to work with for our wedding. She understood our vision and delivered an amazing end product. I am so in love with our photos, and Melissa is such a dedicated and caring individual. She was flexible and supportive during all the curveballs rescheduling during the pandemic threw at us, and was just overall so much fun to work with. We would highly recommend White Lotus for a wedding photographer!

Put plainly, you can put your trust in Melissa and let her do her magic - you’ll leave feeling relaxed, validated and soon you’ll have a product you couldn’t be without in your inbox waiting for your joyful review.I was lucky enough to stumble on to one of Melissa’s mini session offerings a few years ago and those family photos remain to be some of my most precious images to date. In a matter of 30 minutes she had my rowdy crazy crew of 5 settling naturally into our own world and she made it incredibly relaxing.More recently, I nervously took the plunge for a boudoir - I am mid forties and, post-Covid, likely the heaviest I’ve ever been but I know with each year that passes my body is changing and I felt compelled to pull the trigger. Between her consult and her amazing recommendations, I went from full nerves and feelings of unworthiness to comfort and ease. I feel like I made a forever friend that day, her encouragement was authentic and heartfelt. Those photos are gorgeous and once again - I pull them out from time to time to give me a “you got this girl” pick me up. I will close with the best example of her expertise I can think of; she convinced me to include a shot I was a little timid to see in print and when I asked my husband which one was his favorite … it was the one I nearly cut. I was a bit nervous to do a boudoir shoot. I’m a plus sized, 40 year old woman. I don’t know how to be sexy or sultry! But all my fears disappeared the minute I walked into the studio. Melissa is so excellent. She is body positive and will help you see yourself in the most beautiful way. She tells you exactly what to do and matches the style of the photos to your personality! She made everything so easy and SO DANG FUN. I came out of the session feeling beautiful, strong and even more confident in this body that I have been given. Then I saw the photos and they gave me chills! I looked INCREDIBLE!!! Melissa helped me to see the beauty that my partner sees. And to see the beauty in myself everyday. Would 100% do this again.
