Had a group dinner here. Everyone loved their meal (from the group menu). Alex was amazing: funny, attentive and kind. The entire team that served us did so as if though it was their pleasure, which is how it should be. Would definitely go again.

Ordered online through the restaurant's website, a steak for takeout. Placed order at 17:55, trying to be thoughtful and give them time in case they were busy. Selected pickup at 19:30. Showed up to pickup at 19:35 and my order was barely warm. Thinking they fired it when I placed the order, which is disappointing as not what I selected in their online order system. The food was good, no issues there. Just disappointed in the online ordering VS real life experience. There was no option to leave a tip either, when checking out.

Very slow service. The food presentation was nice. The calamari was melt your mouth" good. Warm bread should be offered. We had to ask for bread and that was the hit for the night!"

Madisons Restaurant & Bar
We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The service was great, and the food exceeded our expectations. One of the highlights is the free parking available in the Minto Tower parking lot, which can be validated at the restaurant. This is a rare perk in downtown Ottawa, and it made our visit even more enjoyable. We'll definitely be returning in the future.

Poor poor service. A group of 3 came in after us, ordered before us, and got their food before us. Most likely because they appeared more wealthy and ordered a bottle of wine. All this, and we had to wait wait wait to order anything, even just drinks. Was about 20 minutes before the waiter David made an appearance at our table. Extremely long wait to receive our drinks, one of which was not received. After waiting for what seems like an eternity to order, we both ordered steak. The food was great, if only the service matched the food. After our meals, we went on to wait another eternity just to pay the bill. It seems we were not paid attention to here. You’d think they could provide the bare minimum of service for two customers ordering high ticket items such as steak. We will not be returning.

Made reservations online but there was plenty of seating available on a Sunday night. When we arrived we were seated in the bar area at a hightop table. There was a backpacker who walked in to have a beer at the bar while we ate and wasn't exactly the elegant dining experience we were hoping for. The food was a touch slow coming out of the kitchen and we were told one the meals that we ordered, they were out of the ingredients to make it.Our meal was delicious. The wine selection was good but nothing local(was hoping for Niagara Falls) was being offered. On the beer side they did have a local brew on tap and it had a very distinct flavour that I enjoyed. Our waitress was lovely and provided great service.

I went there yesterday with my family. Even if we didn't had a reservation they accommodated us. Super friendly staff. The food was good. Thank you so much Madisons for this great experience. We’ll be back.

Oh my goodness, let me tell you about my incredible experience at Madisons Restaurant & Bar! I can't contain my excitement about this place! From the moment I stepped inside, I was blown away by the vibrant and energetic atmosphere. The restaurant had such a trendy and stylish vibe that immediately got me pumped up.

Service is exceptional - we were a group tucked in a corner but never felt like we weren't attended to. Our server Alex was personable and accommodating, which made the experience a great one! Would definitely return.
