Could not recommend Chatopia enough. My fiancée and I first fostered and then adopted our precious Louis through them. Maggie and the team are present, thoughtful and kind. They go above and beyond for the well-being of the cats. They deserve all the praise and it is inconceivable for me to imagine someone would leave less than 5 stars for all the work they do.

Chatopia is a cat rescue that goes above and beyond for the cats in their care.By the sounds of it you were in over your head with the Persian that you had you adopted and if they didn't give you another one they very likely had good reason. A cat is not like an item that you return at Walmart when it doesn't work anymore and you get your money back!!!!If they had to get lawyers involved I suspect they had a good reason. In my opinion your review is nothing more than a tantrum thrown by a disgruntled person who didn't get her own way.Stop bothering these people so they can get to the business of rescuing cats and not have to deal with your drama.

We are so happy and thankful to have learned about Chatopia when we were looking to adopt a cat. Maggie and Terry were both so available, helpful and sweet. We quickly noticed how much they care for the cats that they rescue and they do so with so much love.We adopted a 5 year old Bengal that we love so much. I had a great experience with Maggie and everyone else who dedicate themselves for the cause of taking care of cats in need. My friend's cat, Luna, was in dire need after my friend passed away. I was worried at first, but once I got on the phone with them, I was relieved very quickly. I could tell that they are truly dedicated to the well being of cats and have a great process in place to make sure these cats are happy.Would always recommend.

Chatopia is such a wonderful cat rescue run by amazing people who work so hard with great fosters to make sure they find their forever homes. I adopted my cat from them in 2015 and I worked alongside them in the vet clinic I worked at from 2008-2015. They really care and do their absolute best to make sure the cats get all the care that they need before going to their owners. I highly recommend looking here for your next furry friend. Chatopia provided me with my little boy- Mogali. The Chatopia foster homes are the best- you don't get a nervous 'shelter' cat. They are loved the moment they come into care until the get adopted.

I had not had a cat for a few years and relied on them for their help. When I found I could not handle the long persian hair anymore and wanted to get her shaved down til I adjusted. They were mortified and suggested another cat may get better for me. I made,arrangements to meet Maggie at the shelter. She never showed. I had to hand over the cat to one of the volunteers as Maggie suggested, and left. They promised another cat. I never got another cat or my money back, although I did get a lawyer's letter telling me to never contact them again. Thank you, Maggie. I have since rescued a cat of a deceased high school friend and just had to put him down 2 months ago. I saved him from his organs collapsing (he was left with the dead body for 2+ weeks, no food or water...then another week of not eating, drinking or litter box. I revived him from that. At the beginning of the pandemic he had a severe case of Rhino. Took him to emergency vet and treat him successfully at home. I just put him down at 16. I am truly disappointed in thus shelter". Chatopia is an incredible cat rescue, one of the only ones in North America to help purebred cats. From Bengals, Himalayans, to Persians and Sphynxes and more they are specialists in the needs of purebreds (vetting, grooming, behaviour issues, rescue from hoarders and backyard breeders) and matching cats to true forever families. Sadly many people buy purebreds for looks then dump them later. Did you know for example that many Persians may need surgery to breathe properly? Full disclosure: I was their Reiki Master for 18 months at their former centre, and know firsthand how many cats they help, and how dedicated they are. To any angel investors out there, they really need a new centre! To everyone else, every donation helps. Their current foster network helps Chatopia cats become well-adjusted highly adoptable cats. I hope to volunteer again once the pandemic is over. Chatopia rocks.
