The selection way okay but they don’t do the single cart per customer or one use washing of the scoops. It’s still the pandemic so we should still be taking this seriously. This is maybe a reflection more of the company than the store I suppose.

Nice selection and love trying 50grams of tea. Love the high protein flours I can experiment with and always found something new to research.

Prices are often higher than other bulk supply stores, but I LOVE that they allow you to bring your own jars to fill instead of using plastic bags for each item!

When we entered the store, the male employee with glasses told us we had to sanitize our hands, then he proceeded to help the people behind us(he did not ask them to sanitize their hands, just us). Had to wait 5+ minutes with no help from any employees, was just blatantly ignoredIf you're going to enforce sanitization, at least do the same for everyone who enters the store.Also saw the employee putting his hands in his pants while wearing the gloves.. I wouldn't want anyone like that handling what I'm about to buy.Would not recommend.

I've never been disappointed by any of the products or price. The Chinese 5 spice blend is awesome!

Staff are super friendly and helpful. Store is clean and bright. They carry a wide variety of items from pantry staples to candy, coffee and specialty teas.

Ive work in customer service for over 15 years and I know good customer service when I see it and I know bad and this location is the worst I've ever seen they dont greet you when you walk in they dont offer you help they barely say 5 words to you when you go to pay. There is a male manager there and he is probaly the most sour looking person I've ever seen I dont think I have ever seen him smile. The whole staff looks miserable all the time. I love bulk barn but wont be shopping at the empress location anymore completely dissatisfied with my experience. Giving this location one star is probaly being to generous
