Canada Post

I had a priority post addressed to my business, with my name also on the package, at the Wiarton Post office. Because the address on my drivers license did not match the address of my business, they refused to give me the package. They said the solution was to give a letter of authorization from the Canada post website authorizing someone else, not named & not at my business address the ability to pick up my package with my name on it. Is this not ridiculous? I also notice 6 signs in that small office reminding people that improper behaviour will not be tolerated. No other stores in Wiarton that I know of have even 1 of those signs. Perhaps there are communication or common sense issues at this business requiring the reminding of people to be courteous. Perhaps those who work at the Canada post counter should treat those who use the service as well as I have to in my business.

I went a day earlier to pickup my package during closing time but I had forgotten my id so I said ok I will come back the next day, it says it OPEN TILL 12 IN THE AFTERNOON ON THEIR SITE and I just went and it’s about 11 o clock AND IT SAID THEY ARE CLOSED ON SATURDAY? I needed this package urgently if I had known I wouldn’t have waited the extra day so if someone from that office is reading this could you please stop driving people nuts
