Blue Forest Lane Bed and Breakfast

Blue Forest Lane raises the B&B bar for me. Tucked in a woodsy backdrop, warm and welcoming. The rooms are dressed with treasured period pieces and the breakfast was filling and a visual work of art!

Brent and Wanda answered our late phone call, when every hotel was completely booked up! It was almost 10pm by the time we arrived. Absolutely the most serene and quiet spot I could have imagined. Breakfast was amazing. I had a great sleep. Very clean and comforting. Brent and Wanda are amazing hosts. They had another guest staying as well and we all had great breakfast conversations. Such a relaxing atmosphere and truly incredible experience. I hope more Canadians think of using Brent and Wanda's very special and cozy bed and breakfast!From the Farinas

Top-notch B&B with a wonderful host, relaxing location, and delicious breakfasts. We stayed at 4 different B&Bs across the maritime provinces on our trip and Blue Forest Lane was by far the best of them all. Our host, Brent, was very friendly and accommodating, and prepared delicious breakfasts that were different each day. Our room was very spacious and quiet, and the B&B grounds were beautiful. This will be our go-to the next time we're in Halifax!

Very impressive and immaculate bed and breakfast. Friendly, heartful hosts, amazing gardens and landscaping, and beautiful home decor. House is located in a quiet neighborhood, very peaceful. The owners used to have an art distributing company, and I believe one or both of them are artists themselves, which helps you better appreciate the incredible decor and detail around the home. The breakfast was phenomenal, with French press coffee and gourmet crepe. We stayed in the garden room and it came with a big jacuzzi tub. Highly recommend this beautiful, character stay while in the Halifax area!

Brent and Wanda were gracious hosts, especially since we didn't arrive until almost midnight from our long flights. They were there to greet us and accommodate us in our spacious suite. Breakfast the next morning was delightful, Brent's special French toast with fruits, and the conversation around the table by the guests was stimulating. Brent made a recommendation that we go that day to Grand Pre on the north coast, and we did and had a wonderful visit there. If you want a place to stay not too far out of Halifax or not far from the airport, in the woods with beautiful surroundings, you can't go wrong at Blue Forest.

Property is beautiful, hosts extremely friendly, a bit more consideration woukd have been appreciated due to our having had such a long journey. Breakfast was good. The reason for the 2 stars is the lack of cleanliness... Dust and smells in the bedrooms and bathroom... Had to open the window in bathroom for air.....The response from then owner is completely inaccurate!...I traveled with my husband!...as well, noone had used the bathrooms,the smell I refer to was a musty one.

Gorgeous B&B, wonderful host!!!I made a mistake in booking the wrong date but they were awesome in rebooking our room through phone call without making me feel unwelcome in any way, and promptly, stayed up much later than the posted late check-in when we told the host that we were driving from Louisbourg. He made us welcome, the check in (and check-out) was efficient. The breakfast was delicious and was served to us on the beautifully set table (after asking if we had any diatary requirements /restrictions/ preferences the night before.The room (Garden room) was a beautiful old fashioned" / dainty room

Very nice B&B close to Halifax in a quiet neighbourhood. Brent and Wanda are wonderful hosts. The garden room we stayed in is really big with large open bathroom making you feel spoiled.Breakfast was very good with freshly prepared ingredients by our host.

Wow! First off, Brent & Wanda were wonderful hosts. We were travelling across Canada in the middle of winter, heading from BC to Nfld. We spent Christmas here at Blue Forest Lane B&B in Halifax, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfasts were not only stunning and extravagant, but so very tasty and nourishing. And the conversations with both Brent & Wanda were always comfortable and genuine.Our suite was gorgeous, large and a favourite stay of ours. And even though our hosts had a large family gathering for Christmas, it was silent in our room. We would not hesitate to stay at the beautiful Blue Forest Lane B&B again, and in fact look forward to our next visit there.
