We were in town for a wedding, and desperately searching for last minute hair appointments for my son and niece. Hair Friends was the third place I tried, and they were able to squeeze us in. That was wonderful on its own, but what truly made them stand out was the two stylists who handled our appointments. They were amazingly welcoming, friendly, and did a fantastic job on the kids’ hair. Out of all the salons I have been to over the years, this experience ranks in the top 5, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I went here - giving them a chance as i moved here a year ago and needed a new hair dresser. Now I'm rating two categories and based on this they have 3 stars. The colour turned out nice - even though its more than I had asked for, i only wanted a couple foils. I am happy with it.Cut however - Lulu does not have a knowledge of how to cut layers or short hair properly. I kept explaining it was too blunt and needed to be thinned out and more layers. She just kept thinning the ends and my hair kept getting shorter, without producing any layers through the rest of my hair. I had to stop her from going further as she was clearly did not have the skill set to manage my hair. I showed her a picture of how my hair was before when it was short and the layers and how I wanted it. It was my hair which clearly means my hair is capable of being cut the way I was asking for.I left crying and now have to find someone to fix it. Thankfully she knew i was upset and did not charge for the cut.

Best hair cut in town. Have been going here for over a year now and I can guarantee you'll walk out of here happy. Fair prices, an abundance of different skill sets, and very friendly staff.The attached coffee shop is a plus as well on those cold days. Can show up a little early and have a beverage.

The young blonde girl really messed up my hair. Came in at 2:00 for my hair and she ruined my hair. Un even line, not even on sides, latterly have a bald spot.

I went here a few times in the past and they gave me the complete opposite of what I asked for. For instance, I asked for highlights and I showed a reference pic but she gave me a balayage. I was uneducated about the process of hair dye otherwise I would have stopped her. My sister went one time for a simple trim and her hair was completely uneven and I had to fix it for her afterwards.

Becky did my hair for a wedding, and was so efficient and professional. She made my vision come to life and so quickly! The hairdo stayed put for over 8 hours throughout the day. And even though I was only there for an up-do, I asked for some hair product recommendations for at home, and she was great with giving advice as well. Highly recommend if you're in Oliver!

Unfortunately I will not be going back. I have no idea how the same gal could cut my long hair so beautifully once and the next time, horribly bad. I have a large chunk of hair cut shorter than any pieces around it and it's in the front to boot. Yet not following the angle of the rest of my hair. It's a random short chunk off my temple area. So not much I can do now besides pay to fix it and lose length. this stylist knew keeping my hair long was my agenda. She also cut my hair fully dry, then didn't show me the finished product in the mirror. Curled my hair even after I said I prefer using no heat. Now I know she probably curled it to cover the mistake she made. Needless to say, I'm pretty upset and this is over a week later. Do not recommend Lulu.
