Taste Of Egypt
Had an amazing gluten-free meal! Compliments to the chef, the Lamb was absolutely mouthwatering. I will definitely be back as I need to try every item on the menu!! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. My allergy was taken very seriously and I felt confident in my safety. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an intimate fine dining experience with personable staff and an inviting atmosphere.

The calm and serene decor of Taste of Egypt takes you back to the past but their food is so refreshing and tasty. I was welcomed with the Secret of Sphinx, a unique combination of lemon and mint drink, the subtle flavours were pretty intresting, then came the unique Kabab Platter, with a great presentation, I simply loved it. 10 out of 10. Perfect Date night location currently in Saint John if you are open to exotic flavours.

My family and I went to enjoy a nice dinner out and it wasn't what we expected. To begin with the staff were great, the interior design, the atmosphere was beautiful.The food on the other hand was not great. For appetizers, we order hummus($7) which was ok at most, it wasn't smooth and the oil they used wasn't good with it. The Arayas($13) were good.The mains we got were mixed kebab ($32), shrimp kebab ($24), rack of lamb ($32). Each main came with a choice of fries, salad, and rice. We get the tabouleh , Egyptian salad, fattoush salad, fries and the rice.The mixed kebab came with 2 skewers of tandoori chicken, 2 skewers of chicken and 2 beef Kofta; they were all VERY VERY DRY, the portoin of the meat was underwhelming and they tasted store bought unfortunately.The shrimp kebab was also dry and just boring, no wow to it.The rack of lamb on the other hand was actually good but, the bone was WAY LARGER than the meat was.All salads tasted a week old and not fresh, the cuts for the lettuce, cucumber, carrot were very inconsistent fries and rice were OK.Overall, the food was expensive, not fresh (possibly store bought ready, hopefully not), and worst of all very dry.

Excellent and friendly service. Restaurant is very clean, including the bathrooms. The decor is cool.Food was well cooked and tasty. We got the tandoori chicken kebab lunch plate and the tandoori shrimp stir-fry. I also got a Turkish coffee, it was a bit too cardamom heavy for me.Prices are reasonable.Overall a great experience, we will be back to try more foods.

A very unique place in SJ. The ambience is very relaxed and welcoming plus the attention to detail the Egyptian theme is excellent. We ordered the shrimp and mixed platter. The order did not take long to arrive. Every bit was equally delicious, the portion size was okay. I think we will visit again if we visit SJ. Definitely recommend for Halal food buyers.

Amazing food, will try dining in next time as it was a beautiful restaurant.I got (GF) shawarma dinner plate -huge and absolutely fantastic- with a Greek salad, equally as great and it came with a free soup (special on currently)-lentil soup. It was fabulous and I will definitely have again.I also ordered hummus with GF pita (so happy they offer this). Overall was delicious and was amazing to find good gluten free options. 10/10 will come back!

Lovely ambiance, falafels were awesome, kofta beef grilled inside a pita was great, the moussaka was superb, and the three-kebab plate-chicken, tandoori chicken, and kofta beef,, great! TBH the tabbouleh salad could have used a little more vinegar or lemon juice, I was not sure quite what was missing as different places have their own variant.

Great spot for a nice dinner. Service was excellent, food has unique flavors, variety and large size portions.We'll be back again.
