I've used Ed Warfield for the past 7 years to clean, service and wett certify my wood stove, I was told by another company today that this stove should not have pass inspection for the last few years, it was a fire Hazzard and all prefab needed to be replaced. I confronted Ed on this, his response was calling me a liar and then hung up in my face. 7 years of support and this is the customer appreciation I was shown. Becareful who you let service your wood stoves, we could have lost everything! Eye opener for me for sure

I called Quality Chimney Sweep Ltd just two days ago and they were able to come today, first thing in the morning. We had a fireplace on an external wall with a two story pre-fab chimney that needed cleaning.They called the day before in order to confirm the appointment.Ed and his helper, whose name I think was Jeff, showed up on time. They accessed the fireplace from inside the house and used a ladder to access the roof and the top of the chimney.In about a half hour they were in and had the job done.Ed was very knowledgeable and explained to me the best options for firewood and as a certified inspector, he told me that home insurance requires a chimney to be cleaned and inspected yearly. This makes sense but I didn’t know anything about it.The guys put cardboard around the fireplace, brought a shop vac into the house (carrying it, conscious of not making a mess), and sucked out all the ash from the fireplace. The fireplace is now clean as a whistle!Ed supplied a receipt for the $150 cleaning and inspection, and he was on his way again.There was no headache, no fuss, and no mess!I would highly recommend Quality Chimney Sweep Ltd for their service. 5-stars for cleanliness and being easy to deal with, as well!

Quoted me a price on the phone of 150, then explained all I was getting for the 150 and all of the sudden it was 250 when they got to the house, said it was because I lived on salmonier line bit said nothing of the extra price in the quote, as far as I'm concerned he robbed me of 100 dollars and can do so because they own a monopoly on chimney sweeping. Also said my stove was a fail before measuring the wall and ceiling height which turned out to be ok when he finally grabbed a tape... was not impressed with what I paid for, espisally after getting a price that was almost double what I was quoted. If he had said of the extra chages when I was quoted would be a differnt story.

We contacted Quality Chimney to do a WETT inspection on our chimney. The owner was not well so he sent his nephew to do the work who he said was excellent. After the inspection (15 mins; $150) he said everything looks great but needs a new damper. About a month later they installed the new damper (~$600) and gave me a W.E.T.T. certificate that everything was great.Next, when we try to light a fire, the house is full of smoke. I asked someone who knows about fireplaces to take a look and he said the height of the chimney is too low. In our house, there was a floor added about 20 years ago which increased the height of the house but the chimney remained the same height. This should have been caught by the inspector and he should have flagged it as an impossible task and should have never certified it. I don't like writing negative reviews but I want to make people aware that if they are looking for expertise this is not the service for them.

All work was completed in a timely, clean and professional manner. Jeff and his partner were friendly and provided informative information on how to keep my fire-burning appliances in top working order.Payment was a breeze as cash, cheque and e-transfer options were available.Would recommend!See you next year!

our chimney liner in our rental was shot and where we are on oil heat the house began not only filling up with fumes but low levels of carbon monoxide. our landlord contacted quality chimney sweep and these guys were prompt and efficient. very happy and relieved and now we (as well as our 2 cats) are also warm on top of it as we can close our windows and turn on the furnace. thanks guys!
