Oakcrossing Retirement Living

Having moved my Dad into Oakcrossing in September 2021 we are so thankful and pleased at this amazing facility. The staff is top notch, and I would love to name them all and give them a shout out, there are so many amazing people that work here I would be afraid of missing someone. I can't always visit due to distance, Oakcrossing makes it easy with an option for virtual visits which they set up completely, making it foolproof with my technology challenged Dad. There are lots of common spaces, and a variety of activities and events and my dad picks what he enjoys doing. He raves about the food and comments often you will never starve here" LOL. He often comments how amazing and friendly the staff are and that "he better behave because he doesn't want to get kicked out" LOL. My Dad is honestly loving this facility and that is the greatest gift to family members

As a former colleague at Oakcrossing Retirement I can honestly say it is a great place in all aspects. The facility is clean and bright and the services they provide are top notch. The Kitchen is run by a Red Seal Chef and the food is amazing! They are always bringing in entertainment for the residents and there are always activities planned. From bus trips to Elvis impersonators there is always something for everyone. All staff members are beyond friendly and management is always available. I enjoyed my time there and look forward to my “visits” when I come back to do various project maintenance work. I say visits because it's true, I get to catch up with both great residents and an amazing team at Oakcrossing Retirement.

I was driving by and noticed an older genetleman laying in the snow trying to pull himself back onto his walker. I drove into the parking lot to get out and help. No staff were seen at the front. The man had cut his knee and was unable to get up. He explained his walker caught on the salt and it tipped over. There were piles of salt on a non icy sidewalk. Tried the buzzer and calling the phone multiple times. No staff came to help and the man had to go back in while injured. Had to leave a message to ensure staff will check on him. Funny enough as I drive by there was staff in the window doing laundry… pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

It is a great place to work. Great management staff and very supportive team members. I loved working at Oakcrossing Retirement home because the staff is very welcoming and there is always opportunites to grow by working in other departments. These opportunites helped me to excel in different areas and grow you skill set. The working hours are very manageable and student friendly (if currently in School). Residents are very warm and welcoming and very caring. I had a great time working at Oakcrossing. They have one of the best management staff and team members.
