Pizza Rock - The Wood Burning Pizza
Mainly a take out place, but there are tables and booths available. The pizza is made in actual wood fired pizza oven. Using apple wood a fire is created below while your pizza is placed on a rotating table and constantly being turned and inspected by the cook until it is perfectly cooked. This takes about 15 minutes leaving you a perfectly cooked pizza and just a touch of smoke from the wood fire. Apple wood doesn't smell or taste like apples but this type of wood burns long and hot and has a sweet smokiness similar to hickory. The staff were professional, courteous and friendly to me. Brio is available! The crust is thin and crispy and has taste. The pepperoni is deeply flavourful and the sauce is shipped in from Italy and has a strong tomato taste. My top 3 pizzas are The Real McCoy, Danforth Pizza , and Pizza Rock. All have their own characteristics but all are fantastic.

Their pizza is very tasty and great but I think it could be better. Overall the price was really good for what it was however the portions were pretty small. I loved the pizza I thought it was perfectly cooked and has a good amount of cheese, I think that there should be a bit more sauce on the pizza as there were a few bites where I couldn’t taste the sauce. But overall if you want amazing pizza made in a wood burning oven I definitely recommend this establishment because it was good

Finally got a chance to try this place out. Three people working behind the counter. We stood at the til for about 5 minutes and even though the owner looked right at us from about two feet away on the other side of the til no one bothered to take our order so we left. Yes it was busy with delivery people but we were the only ones lined up to order. I mean, I'll be with you in a moment"

Pizza Rock - The Wood Burning Pizza
Easily the best pizza in Whitby. Everything is completely fresh and wholesome. The only pizza that still tastes the same the next day when heated in an oven at 400 for a few minutes. And the prices haven't changed even during these tough times while everything else seems to skyrocket in price. Highly recommended!

REALLY good thin crust pizza. It's hard to compare this type of pizza to other places, because it's just different... Tons of flavour, incredible sauce, and delicious crust. This place just made it into my top 5 pizza joints!

Great pizza with fresh toppings! Ordered the vegetarian pizza along with the garlic bread with cheese. The crust was thin and there were lots of toppings with a good amount of cheese. The garlic bread could’ve used a little bit more garlic but it was very cheesy. Would definitely return as it did not feel greasy like other pizza shops.

What a hidden gem this spot is!We popped in for the first time for lunch and ordered the Pizza Rock pizza and wings. Both meals were delicious but a special mention goes to the pizza! Wow! Flavourful sauce, thin crust, lots of toppings and cooked to a perfect crisp!The restaurant was also very clean inside and the men working behind the counter were exceptionally pleasant.I look forward to returning here! I highly recommend!

Everything was great about this including the owner being very knowledgeable and sharing some pizza experience. The pizza was good only thing that was disappointing is the sign says wood burning pizza but there was definitely no wood in the oven but don't get me wrong it's a very very good pizza
