Tail Creek Campground

Love this place! Great managers on site. Awesome neighbours. Nice and private lots with walking access to the Red Deer River. Showers and bathrooms on site as well!

Our favorite spot to camp! Management was friendly, welcoming and professional. Grounds were well maintained, bathrooms were clean and stocked with TP, firewood was brought to our site. Great river to pop a chair in and relax or float down with the fam. We were happy campers at Tail Creek, will be back for sure! Thanks T & T

The park manager is incredibly RUDE my friend lives in the area and I mentioned that I would like to come and camp in the area for about a month and a half so she said why don’t we go for a walk and I’ll show you this campground near me it’s really nice. So we went over and we’re walking around and the gate was open when we got there and we went walking around. She’s showing me the amenities. I said this is really nice. I think I will bring my trailer here anyway we get ready to leave and the manager comes walking up his lock the gate and he tells us that he wants to get out of there and he doesn’t want to see your face is around there again. We did absolutely nothing wrong. We just walked around and looked. I know for a fact that I will not be bringing my trailer up there for six weeks, but I will tell all my friends just how rude that man was.! Shameful behaviour.

Be aware of closing times by 9 pm!!! Actually, I am not sure if I can or can't recommend this campsite. We drove all the way from BC to stay at Tail Creek Campground (came highly recommended), just to arrive on closed gates..tried multiple times calling the # with no luck. Thankfully, the campground across was very accommodating. Got a call the following day at lunch from the host? Apparently the campground closes at 9pm...guess we were late by 3min....and got told that's too bad we missed it, then got hang up on....very disappointed with the handling of this situation....hope you can improve some things!Cheers and happy camping

This is our new favourite campground. We spent Wensday to Sunday in #43. We are learning about our generator and our RV and T & T were most patient and helpful. Okay, T was the most helpful but what great place.

Campground manager was very rude and disrespectful. Stopped on the edge of the highway/ approach that leads to the campground entrance to stretch our legs and we were met by the manager who was very ignorant and disrespectful and told us we couldn’t stop there and to either pay for a site to stop in for 5 minutes or leave so we left even though we were on the approach of an Alberta owned highway. It would appear that they run this campground like it’s a prison camp and the manager is the drill Sargent. Strongly recommend looking elsewhere for camping accommodations as there are many other campgrounds in the area.

Favorite place to camp, fun all around bathrooms kept up free dumping! Always mowed and get wood for cheap! Hard working new camp managers who try to make everyone feel like family! They’ve done a lot of work this year and last year to make it soooo much better! Don’t look and the bad reviews from 3 + years ago! It’s not even the same people nor does it look the same! Thanks for the amazing hospitality and making it a great weekend everytime

I really enjoyed my stay here. Most sites have plenty of trees for privacy. It was a very peaceful stay by the river with lots of space. It’s a good price and not too busy. The highway can be a bit noisy once in a while but it’s not usually a very busy road.
