You have to eat here- and not just for a special occasion! Food is perfectly cooked- and the chef knows his lamb!- and the variety would suit most. Appreciate that food is clean! Beautiful venue in Historic house, quick and responsive service when needed. Oh joy- we will see you again in a few weeks!

It’s definitely a hidden gem Italian restaurant in Ontario. The food is authentic and exquisite. The staffs are very friendly and professional. The mood of inside of the restaurant and the patio are classy and warm. The reservation is needed!

In August, my husband and I went here for brunch on the patio and highly recommend! I had a Caesar and smoked salmon omelette. Everything was so fresh and delicious and the setting out back was so beautiful. If we’re out that way again we’d definitely check out the lunch or dinner menu as well.

This was a true treat. What a beautiful restaurant. We were greeted by a delightful woman and we chose to eat on the patio. We ordered a Caesar which was delicious and started out with octopus. Now I have ordered octopus at many restaurants and this was spectacular. It was so tender and absolutely blasting with flavour. There were also some shrimp which again...the taste and flavour was refreshing and different. Chef Jay is really an amazing chef and in my opinion he is the best in the area. My wife had the seafood medley with mixed grilled vegetables....again....so much flavour and you enjoyed every bite. The wine Lemon sauce was so good and not over lemoned. Simply amazing. I chose the beef stroganoff which did not disappoint and it is chef Jays sauces that truly set his food apart from the others. The pricing was excellent for the experience and quality delivered....we will be back!

Fantastic food, I don’t usually write reviews for restaurants but tonight I am writing one for this place. Food was fantastic, I could not stop eating! Service is great and environment- well it is an over 100 year old house with great patio. Highly recommend it.

Perfect romantic dinner!BEAUTIFUL inside, classy, candles, wonderful decor, Frank Sinatra playing in the background. Perfect atmosphere, the food was absolutely delicious as well, really perfect portions (not super tiny like some fine dining places). BEAUTIFUL patio as well for patio lovers! Gardens all around with cute lights. Cannot recommend enough!!!

The restaurant was in a beautiful historic mansion and was really nicely decorated outside with lights and flowers. The waitress was super sweet, though everyone seemed to be quite stressed and maybe understaffed (to be expected). The starter salad was good and the mushroom risotto was also good, albeit a little salty. My friend enjoyed her dish as well, so can say overall it was a nice experience.

Just happened upon this quaint restaurant on our way home from Toronto. The service was exceptional, the food was well presented and cooked perfectly. The sirloin was tender and exactly medium rare. There is a relaxed atmosphere and a friendly, family but also a bit more upscale, vibe. The wine selection was nice and the menu was varied, leaning towards French style. The decor is a bit older, but it was pleasant in the candlelight and very clean. I would drive the 90 minutes from home just for their authentic house made key lime pie, which rivaled any I have had in Florida.

The Gables never disappoints! We love having dinner there and always have the best experience. Food is top notch, so full of flavour and the menu size is great.We enjoyed a Valenrinea day dinner and the portion sizes were good, the courses were spread out perfectly and of course the food was amazing!! We always recommend the Gables.

Great food, lovely service. Food tasted great and portions were perfect. The seafood platter was a highlight with generous amount of fish and shellfish, alongside warm veggies. Great time!
