Great first experience ordering from Yakko Takko. Ordered by phone, which might be a hit or miss if they are really busy.Generous portions with great flavours and the prices reflect that. Great sauces made from scratch. Fairly easy to find, authentic Mexican taco & burrito food truck in Ottawa. Owner seems very passionate about his craft. Reminiscent of some local stops visited in central/south Florida.Definitely going to work through the menu, great job Roberto!

Maybe my expectations were too high because of the great reviews. We got the birria, barbacoa, shrimp, and chicken tacos. They were TINY $7/taco! Flavours and spice were good, but I wouldn't say authentic! They didn't have cilantro or lime or sauce/salsa/hot sauce, so I found some tacos a little dry. Patio was cute, but need more umbrellas for shade! 3.5 ⭐️ for me!

A hidden gem. I'm ashamed to admit I'd not heard about this place before this week. It is now a firm favourite. Easily top 5 places I've eaten in Ottawa. Shrimp taco was magnificent, really well seasoned and the flavours worked so well together. Pork taco was excellent and is a very well thought out dish. The service was good and it's obvious that time and effort was taken to make the food perfect. Well worth the wait. The owner is super friendly and loves what he does. Cannot wait to go back and try more.....I wish I'd found this place at the start of the summer instead of the end!

The tacos here are unbelievable! We ordered the Barbacoa, pastor, chorizo, and fish tacos and they were all delicious. I’d say that the Barbacoa was my favourite. They were so flavourful and juicy and came with some onion and cilantro on top as well as this spicy salsa. The drink is the Horchata which complimented the spice of the tacos nicely. It had a milky sweet cinnamon taste with a hint of fruity flavour. Will definitely be returning soon to try all of the flavours!

Ordered two tacos and a drink. The beef taco is good, but portion size was too small, a bit pricey for $20 total. The place could’ve definitely been cleaner.

Best tacos in the city these days. Amazing portions, amazing flavour and you can choose your spice level from 1-10.The options they have are amazing and the ambiance is spectacular. You will wait longer for these tacos than other restaurants but that’s not a bad thing as Roberto and his team ensure every single item that comes out of the window is perfect.Best eaten on site as per most Mexican food but the food travels well.
