Great place and excellent service my hair stylist Norberto was really kind and knowledgeable loved it and I am now a regular here forever !!

I had a really great experience here. I was wanting to adjust some of the highlights I had with lowlights and have a hair cut. The staff and Ernesto were really friendly. I was there for quite a while as my hair was pretty thick. Ernesto ensured the hair colorist that was helping me had everything she needed. He even helped with combing and drying my hair and then was able to do the cut for me himself. The environment here is very friendly and positive and I really appreciated that they were able to help me out via text when booking and then in person. I’m moving or I would love to come back again. I haven’t had many positive salon experiences in Toronto so this was really nice. Thank you.

Amazing job by Ernesto! He gave me the short hair cut that I have wanted for so long. Most salons turn me away because I have curly/wavy hair but Ernesto did such a fantastic job. I finally feel like myself :)

Me and my family have been going Ernesto for our haircuts for a long time now. He always takes his time on everyone’s hair and he always makes sure they look the best possible. The staff is great and the salon itself is really clean and nice. I recommend Matiz to everyone!

Amazing. The owner, Ernesto, is a very generous person and makes you feel at home. I took an appointment for a haircut and was surprised to learn that they wash my hair, cut it, and then style it (straighten, curl, or blow-dry) with the haircut fees.If you want to get a specific haircut, you can also show a series of pictures and he will give you the exact thing.The inside is very lofty, comfortable, and clean. They even have a very convenient washroom.My new go-to salon, I highly recommend!

Got a referral from a friend to come here to try. It was an okay meh experience. It took more than 6 hours to get the highlight done. It does seem like a lot of work, but never in my hair experience I had to wait for that long. Most importantly, the end result wasn't what I was expecting. It went to bleach and then darken very close to my original color. There was no actual samples being offered before they proceeded, other than a couple of photos being looked at on the cell phones. We looked at 2 pictures with 2 colors and they just went with one, but never discussed which one being chosen. I did mention I did like the blonde highlight better, but it wasn't executed for some reason. The whole time I thought she was bleaching, she had already added the actual color into my hair. there was no communication or any kind of confirmation. I felt like nothing was done, as it was close to my original hair color. Meantime it costs $480. The stylist was very patient and nice.

Ernesto and Damian have been my personal stylists for the past 10 years, I couldn't have found more professional and knowledgeable hairstylists. They are dedicated and super talented beauty artists, recommended 100%. I always get complimented on my air whenever I visit Matiz, you are in the best hands!
