What a great place to eat! Home-made food delicious I had the hot hamburger with gravy double made patties, and my wife had the special hamburger and gravy mashed potatoes roll and peas. Fantastic food and staff always lots of people eating here so you know the food is the best. Highly recommend the homemade pies for dessert a must try lemon merang this is our new favorite place to eat.

Just like home. Don’t miss this place on the way by. Had a boss burger which had just about everything I could want. The poutine was just ok and I would have just had the chips or fries instead. Kind of a modern old school look and feel to the restaurant. Wait staff super friendly.

We knew when we pulled in that it was going to be good!! The parking lot was full. It did not disappoint!!! Home style cooking and friendly staff!! Enjoyed a glass of local Jost wine. Worth a visit!!

Classic diner with friendly service and excellent comfort eats. Opened in 1947, this establishment maintains the classic diner experience with modern comfort and accoutrements.The clam chowder is rich with local clams, potatoes and vegetables. Less creamy than new england style, but full of flavor.The lobster roll is wrapped with an excellent garlic bread toast. The lobster is sweet but a touch overcooked.The coconut cream pie is an experience. Excellent pie crust, and proper shredded coconut slivers in a thick creamy filling.A must go when visiting Truro.

Nothing amazing about the food. Had the seafood platter and nothing stood out as remarkable. Except the service which was top notch. Great little niche place to eat

Today was my second visit. I live in Windsor and on way to visit family in New Glasgow. So not disappointed, had grilled cheese and kettle chips and jello. Service was amazing. They really made me feel as a truly welcomed guest. I was alone but I felt so homey. And of course the fudge for sale at cash works . I can see why it’s so popular.
