Such a nice campsite for a rec site. It was very official. Most of the sites were extremely roomy and private. Unfortunately I think we got the worst site as it was crammed right between two other sites with no privacy but that was the only site we saw like that. It has great beach access and it was really quiet. Surprisingly on a good day there weren't many people at the beach.

Me and my friends have done a couple trips on bicycles to here from Vancouver and it’s one of our favourite campsites! The hosts have been extremely nice both times and they keep the park well maintained.

Decent campground with a good amount of trees around most sites. Definitely check out their walk-in sites. There are some great spots. Very near to the Heather Mountain trailhead if you feel like a 20-ish km hike.

This was a great little campsite. The host was friendly and informative and ran the place well. The beach front sites are right on the water and there is a beach access for campers that aren't on the water that's just a short walk away. The lake is fairly quiet in that area--not a lot of boats going by, which makes it great for lounging, kayaking or paddling boarding. The lake temperature was wonderful when we were there in mid July. While camping at Pine Point, we took a day trip to Port Renfrew, which was just over an hour's drive. We also floated the Cowichan River in town one afternoon, which was a very relaxing event. The only downside is that some of the beach sites (#'s 26 to 28, possibly others) are very close together with absolutely nothing, not even a shrub, to separate them and provide any kind of privacy. It was impossible not to hear every detail of every conversation happening in the campsite next to you when they're only 15 feet away. It would be nice if the site management would update the campground map to reflect the site sizes and closeness more truly.

We try to get here once a year. Love that there are shady spots and first come first serve. Lake was a wonderful way to keep cool on those super hot days. New for us this year is we had to pay 1/2 the camping rate for the second car. Husband and I drove up separately as I worked later on heading out day so it cost us an extra 9 dollars a night. Lesson learnt, we will plan better next time.

a really beautiful campground at an incredibly affordable price. There are even four walk-in campsites for people with tents from which you can walk literally 5 steps into the lake. I found it quiet at night but we were not there during a weekend. Filled with wonderful lovely families and everybody was so friendly. If you're a senior or have a disability, it's just $9 a night and you can stay two weeks! It is a primitive campground and there are no showers, just out houses and no running water, you have to carry in and out everything, including all your garbage which is a good thing. I found the place very clean.
