Xing Fu Tang Burnaby (Brentwood)

A well-known Taiwanese bubble tea brand, I was very excited when they finally made its way to Canada. I especially like their brown sugar milk tea, their pearls are made in house, and are cooked in a brown sugar syrup. The pearls are very different than other bubble tea places, they’re soft and chewy and full of brown sugar goodness.They also top it with slightly whipped cream and give it a sprinkle of brown sugar, and a torch to caramelize them.It’s definitely a treat when I’m near one of their stores. Service is prompt and it also takes just a few minutes before I get the bubble tea.This location has some free street parking, and they have some tables inside before Covid, which you can sit and relax.

The signature brown boba was delicious. I have never had a boba milk tea this delicious. The boba was most satisfyingly chewy and the milk was creamy almost like ice cream. I finished it fearing that I wouldn't like normal boba again because this one was so rich in flavour.They have good seating room both inside and outside at this location.

I love this place so much that I keep going back every weekend. The service and drinks are always on point. I’ve tried several drinks but my all time favourite is the bunny lychee yoghurt smoothie with brown sugar pearls.

Here.. the happy hour menu is all day, every day which sounds like one goddam awesome day to me!This BBT joint 幸福堂 handcrafts the Pearls which is pretty rad. My friend had the strawberry Pearls which were pretty yummy, but more for texture and lacking of actually tasting like strawberry. I do like how they offer quite a wide range of topping options compared to most BBT joints. The green tea Jelly was super yum and a solid choice.Unfortunately they were out of Buckwheat at the time (although this I'd an awesome non-dairy alternative), otherwise I would have tried fresh Taro Milk with buckwheat milk instead. The regular pre-made mixes already contain specific levels if sugar so you don't ask for a percentage, only ice which I am not really keen on as you can't control the amount of sugar your having and my Taro Milk Tea was extremely sweet (albeit delicious) and a lot of the powder seemed to be stuck at the bottom and sticking to the jelly even after thorough stirring.To add, the milk Teas are dairy-based and no alternative, I believe it's a pre-made powder mixed.Staff were pretty rude and short tempered to be honest, but a very nice vibe and interior.. loving the paper-mache style bubble tea at the entrance!All in all, good value for money (especially happy hour), but not the best bubble tea nor the worst iv had in Vancouver and wouldn't be in a hurry to go back.One thing I did love was the green tea Jelly and haven't been able to find this anywhere else.

Excellent spot with a delicious selection of bubble tea, fresh tapioca on display is a fun centerpiece!Service was excellent the clerks at the counter made some tasty suggestions and checked in on us and our experience which was very friendly.Building is small and only has so much room for sitdown, but is quiet, and lots of windows gives you time to take in the sights while you sit and enjoy.Overall excellent experience, whenever im in Burnaby ill be stopping in!

Brown sugar pearl milk tea . It’s too bad can’t customize sugar but I like you can have it hot instead of cold

To be honest, we things we ordered taste not so good.. the pink pearls are have this simple sugar taste to it, sweet but nothing else.The strawberry milk has very light strawberry taste, it’s almost like drinking sugar sweetened whole milk.The Mango smoothie is nothing special either, tasted artificial in general.

Great boba chain in Metro Vancouver.Definitely recommend the brown sugar pearl milk tea, it’s a classic and popular for a reason.It costs extra, but they have oat milk as a non-dairy option. With me being somewhat lactose intolerant, it was much appreciated.

Absolutely love this place. It’s close by to my work so convenient to go there once in a while. I’ve tried the brown sugar pearl drink and one other (can’t remember the name) and they were both very delicious. Staff are also friendly and professional. Clean location.

This is the best bubble tea place in all of Brentwood area. The value is better than others and the quality is superior. Plus they actually have good service. The owner is really nice, he always remembers me and my order. I always get the jasmine green milk tea because it actually tastes like fresh jasmine and not just sugar. I used to go to Yi Fang which is actually a closer walk for me but now I'll go farther for the better bubble tea and service.
