And the chit chat and shampoo from Franco who stepped in and helped out when it was busy. Love a family run business that functions well as a team!

Great experience, haircut and style! First haircut in 6 years. Family run, local, friendly with reasonable prices. I will be returning next time I need a cut.

Can say enough about Christel who gave me my first trim post- chemo. She was so kind and sweet. Highly recommend.

Marissa was awesome! She was super fun to talk to and listened to what I wanted. I showed her a couple pictures and off she went! My hair turned out amazing, exactly how I wanted it! I asked for layers but didn’t want to lose too much length and she gave me exactly that, my hair has never felt better. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great haircut!

I’ve been here a couple times and everyone was always so friendly! It’s a very lovely calming environment. My daughter got her hair cut yesterday morning by agnes and she was amazing! She did it so quick and was straight to the point, also helped me with some advice :) it’s the first hair salon I’ve ever felt truly comfortable in. We will definitely be going back! ❤️

I booked with Franco as I understand he has years of experience. I let him know that I rarely cut my hair but it had gotten so long it was matting and breaking; I asked him to trim three inches off the bottom, no layering, and not blunt ends. A modest trim with point-cut ends, right? It seemed like there was more talking than cutting but I trusted this person with years of experience and figured he must be a whiz. When he was finished I was whisked out of my chair; I did not have my glasses on so I could not see details of the cut, nor was I offered to view the back and sides with a mirror as is standard. I left with a feeling that my haircut might not be so good and when I got home and took off my toque and looked at it I was devastated. It seems like five or six inches were cut off, not three as requested, and the ends are unexplainable, not to mention there are shorter chunks gouged out. There is no rhyme or reason to it. When I showed my friends the result, these are some of the responses I got: What was he thinking? I don't even know how a professional could do that to your hair. Wow, guy didn't have a clue! When I'd recovered enough to talk, I called the salon and told Franco that the cut was not good. He asked what the problem was and I said the ends look like they were chewed off and there are different lengths with random chunks taken out. His response was that I said I wanted it uneven. What I actually said was, that I didn't want the ends blunt. How not blunt translates to uneven, I don't even know, and my ends ended up blunt anyway. Franco pointed out that he's been cutting hair longer than I've been alive and offered for me to come back the following week so he could have a look and fix the cut but I'm not giving him a second chance to do further damage. I was recently diagnosed with cancer and managed to save my hair from chemo but not from being butchered. I used a Groupon for this visit and left a generous tip. It seems both those things were a big mistake. I will never return to this salon. If you want an ebullient conversationalist, great, but if you want a haircut that won't leave you in tears I suggest you keep walking. Known the spot since its former Salon de Franco days. My younger daughter and I had my hair done complimentary in a 2015 #YYJ car free day event. Never had the chance to return to try as a paying client but it's been on my mind.I had the pleasure of having my hair assessed by Angelina today. She said the hair damage is minimal so I had a minor inch trim off (much of my hair improvement with thanks from Sayaka from my Japanese head spa experience in Vancouver). I also had the deep conditioning treatment (always wanted to try) and a style from Angelina's suggestion and urge to experiment which I'm fine with letting her try for fun. I was impressed with the final look and got more hair tips during the conversation so it was worth it. It was a relaxing treat after a job interview right after work.Already pre-booked next two appointments (my cousin's wedding next Saturday for up-do, birthday in October for my first highlighting experience).

I have been growing out a rat tail since 2016, and it's super important to me - Franco knew that I didn't want any length off of it. He was doing the haircut very fast, and when he was shaving the back of my neck he accidentally got the razor caught in my tail, didn't turn off the machine and tried to take it out without me knowing. the next day when I unbraided it in the shower I discovered that about a quarter of my rat tail had been cut off, and I was devastated. I've never written a bad review on Google before, but this hair cut really affected me in a bad way. Also in general I wasn't happy with the cut either, it's pretty patchy and I'll attach a picture of my hairline - super uneven.
