First time at this garage for safety inspection which failed as I knew I needed new brakes. Romeo did a very good job and I'm now enjoying my car.

Posting for a friendDO NOT go to bourgeois garage on industrial street in dieppe. I brought my car in for a break line fix and a new belt. I brought it in Thursday March 22nd. I get a call on Friday saying my car won’t start. Saturday I get a call saying they broke a part on my car while fixing my break line and said they’d pay for the part and install it at no charge. I got told my car wasn’t starting because it needed a new safety neutral switch. So they install one. Fast forward to Monday. I call to see if there is any progress. I was told my car would be ready at 1230 they were just installing the part they broke. I don’t hear from them so at 230 I call and he tells me he forgot he had an medical appointment he’d call the guys at the shop see if it’s ready. 45 minutes later I decide to show up and my car is still not ready. They couldn’t get my car to start. I paid for the work and the part he broke that he said he would pay he asked me to pay for it. I was really shocked but paid it because I’d been 5 days without my car and just wanted my car back. Finally around 430 My car is ready and I’m on my way. Within 30mins of driving I notice it says my gear is in reverse while I’m driving. I pull over and turn my car off and it won’t start anymore.I call him and he sends one of his mechanics over and he has no clue what’s wrong. He Assumes it’s a cable that needs to be replaced. He gets my car started again and goes on his way. I put my car in reverse to go home and my car won’t move. So I text the owner to let him know how extremely disappointed I am and that I have to get my car towed because I’m stuck. He asks me if I want to bring it back. Absolutely not! I get my car towed to a dealership and turns out the safety neutral switch they put it they didn’t install it properly “it was botched”I’m extremely disappointed in Bourgeois garage’s services. Very unprofessional. Kept telling me they were going to call and they didn’t. I had to keep calling them to get answers. When I went to pick my car up with my daughter the mechanic was yelling and cursing. Everything that was wrong with my car weren’t big jobs to fix and the amount of time it took to get it “fixed” was unacceptable. He did give me a fair price for the work he did but my car came out worse than when it went in. I contacted him to let him know what was wrong and that my part wasn’t installed properly and I haven’t heard from him.

Engine light came up. He just reset the light using diagnostic devise and simply charged me for nothing. I knew what was the problem before I go there as I needed to resolve it completely I approached him. Seems like his way of working is to wait until the problem get bigger then get paid more on his work. Highly NOT recommended. I never go back.

Honest mechanics are hard to come by. Romeo & Jake are always very professional and fair. They don't try to low ball you or take advantage. Never take my car anywhere else.
