In and out fast. Had bathrooms to wash hands after. Staff was available and helpful.

On November 14, 2020 at around 3 pm I went all the way from Plamondon to this écocentre to return 6-7 styrofoam containers (as apparently they are not acceptable at my local écocentre on Côte-des-Naiges) and 3 sofa cushions. After seeing the lineup of véhicules stretching 300 meters from the gate (per Google maps) of the écocentre and carrying construction debris and other big, bulky and heavy items I got off the car, took the cushions and the containers in hand and walked to the écocentre to drop them off.Three (3) employees were standing close to the gate and next to a few big metal containers, chatting and doing nothing, while there were 20 to 40 vehicles waiting outside. When they saw me enter they asked what I was doing there. I explained that I just wanted to leave the recyclable materials there and leave. To which I was told that I had to go back, to wait in line. I asked them what they were doing and why they could not just take the items, or show me where to dump them and be off. Now the answer was that I was not smarter than everyone else who were waiting in line and that I had to go back to my car.I told them that I was already there and suggested that I just leave the items there. To that they started raising their voice shouting that this will be illegal dumping, that I had to go back to my car and if I were to leave the items on the container they will take a picture of my car and fine my $1,000 for illegal dumping. At that point a fourth employee (I assume a supervisor) came out of the nearby building asking what the issue was. His colleagues told him that I was trying to cut the line and illegally dump the recyclable materials in the depot. The newly arrived supervisor also told me to go back to my car. When I asked him what were the four of them doing and that in the time we argued they could have directed me where to leave the recyclables he became furious and without a mask came to less than a meter from me screaming that I should leave the premises. I asked him politely to keep his distance and to lower his voice with no effect. He continued screaming for maybe a minute.I picked up the recyclables and left through the gate. Two of the employees followed me all the way to my car (see pictures). At a certain point their supervisor appeared at a high point overseeing the road where the line of waiting cars was and continued shouting. After I got to my car and left the reciclables inside I got my phone (I had left it in the car) and took the pictures attached here. At this point the supervisor screamed that they should take a picture of my license plate. I had nothing to hide so I left them do it.I don't think that I will be recycling anymore, having witnessed the quality of service and the attitude of the personnel at the écocentre.I'd gladly file an official complaint against these employees, but unfortunately I do not have their names, I do not think that this would change anything, and I don't want to waste my time with this futile exercise.

Dropped off some old paint cans, batteries, old computers, tv's and even cardboard boxes. Every item has its area marked by a number. Friendly staff and very well organized. I have to wait 30 minutes sometimes but it's fairly quick most times.

Overall pleasant experience. We were told which deposit gates to go to for our stuff but we still forgot. Thankfully the staff and the demonstrations helped (11 for rubber and water folter, 15 for electronics and styrofoams, large table for batteries, light bulbs, etc). It wasn't very busy when we dropped by (sunday early afternoon).I do recommend that several households put their stuff together to be taken there and deposited, that would have saved so much time, energy and fuel!

Everything is marked, they direct you to the appropriate bins and there is always someone available around the bins. It really couldn't be any easier.

Great place to take stuff to get recycled/disposed. I went to get rid of some paint cans (which are not supposed to go to regular trash), I apparently parked in the wrong station" and the paint guy sort of rudely told me I'm not supposed to park there

I go there whenever I have recycling collected that can not go into the bin. They are always helpful and friendly. There are different spots for all types if building materials, metals, electronics, #6 Styrofoam and plastics, paints, oils, solvents, lightbulbs that need to be recycled, etc. It is easy to get to so I don't understand why people can't just bring their stuff there instead of leaving it on the street. The hours are great too. I am grateful that LaSalle has such a place. On top of that it's FREE. What more can you ask for !!

Watch out for roofing nails! Got a flat on one of my last visits which could not be fixed so 2 new tires made for an expensive trip. When I mentioned this to an employee, he said cleaning up is the clients’ responsibility. When nobody is looking, contractors dump stuff everywhere. Also, there should be 2 lines: one for citizens dropping off personal items for free (this takes about 30 seconds at the gate) and another for contractors who dump renovation materials for a fee (for some reason, this averages 10-15 minutes per contractor at the gate!). Line-ups for private individuals should be minimal to encourage recycling.
