Aulds Cove Big Stop Restaurant
Of course. As with all of these Irving locations, the staff are always friendly and efficient. The cleanliness is impeccable and the food is always delicious. It was wonderful to see the efficiency of even those kids who have been hired on as summer help. Well trained staff make for great service.

Aulds Cove Big Stop restaraunt is a favorite of mine, because they always have friendly staff, delicious food, and the prices are very reasonable and affordable!They offer the beyond burger for customers that eat Plant-based, which is absolutely delicious, and you choose the side; I usually order fries with mine, and the serving sizes are pretty big, so come on an empty stomach!For pescatarians or anyone that loves fish, I would recommend the seafood platter; it's a favorite of my partner, and if you're looking for a cheaper fish-dish, I would recommend their fish & chips!Overall, the staff are always kind and accommodating, every item on their menu is usually delicious and fairly priced, and as I mentioned before, the serving sizes are quite large, so I couldn't help but give this restaraunt 5 stars!

Aulds Cove Big Stop Restaurant
Great place to stop after getting off the night crossing of the Newfoundland ferry. It avoids the crunch at restaurants and gas stations near North Sydney.Servers were friendly but service was a little slow. We also had to ask for more coffee rather than being offered it which is customary in most restaurants offering breakfast.I had the eggs Benedict which, while not cooked to my requested doneness, were quite good. My spouse enjoyed very much her BLT sandwich served on a mini sun roll and had grilled chicken.Irving takes pride on their clean bathrooms and this location was no exception.

Currently at the big stop, had our waiter spill OJ on my girlfriend and never brought us our jam for our toast, put us in the worst seat by the receptionist.The staff is not trained very well, but the food did slightly make up for the bad waiter.

Stopped in for breakfast. Everything from walking in the door, ordering right up to leaving was a nice experience. Very comforting vibe, great meal and the staff was friendly and always there whenever something may be needed. Always a nice experience.

Stopped on Christmas Day on the drive to Halifax. Turkey dinner special with apple pie for dessert. Great food with excellent service.

Service was really good - server was funny, checked back just enough to make sure everything was good/ we needed anything but not enough to be annoying. Atmosphere was very nice. Food was not bad (liver for me, some sort of bologna special item they don't normally have) - pretty much what you'd expect for a Big Stop

Big stops are great if you're lucky to get a seat,food is usually good, try always busy,plan ahead,burn Irving gas good fuel always there when you need it. Lots of parking wheelchair accessible.
