I like going here to hangout with my friends, sometimes workout, and to just relax. Staff is pretty nice from my experiences and the facilities are usually clean. The only the complaint I have is that I sometimes feel bored and that there isn’t anything to do but that’s probably just me. Overall it’s a good place to go to relax and hangout with friends as well as exercise a bit.

It’s a modern but busy gym, for that reason it can be intimidating for me I was having a hard time adjusting the weight rack from previous use and I was about to give up as there were a few people waiting for it as well. One of the staff members who welcomed me earlier, noticed I was struggling and was very respectful in offering help to adjust it. I really appreciated that as a new gym goer. Thanks Nadeem!

The first thing that will hit you when you walk into Meadows Rec centre is the smell. A mixture of armpit, unwashed gym clothes, spices (from a certain cuisine) and a hint of chlorine from the pool. If you are averse to odours, you have been warned. The next thing you will experience is the staff. Mostly hollowed-out husks of what were once probably nice people. Maybe after spending too much time in the smell they’ve lost their humanity, unable to smile or greet you when you arrive, they simply slap on your wristband and send you on your way. When you reach the fitness centre, during the evening, you will no longer see the staff, but you will see a dense crowd of people, all competing for limited resources in equipment. Most are unsmiling and ill-mannered, and most are men. There’s little respect for personal space, and your senses will be under constant assault. On the positive side, the equipment is, for the most part, of good quality, and sometimes they even do maintenance. If you can get here outside of peak hours you will have a nice time. There’s also free charging for electric vehicles, which is great, but due to the aforementioned ill-mannered clientele, more often than not there are vehicles parked here that do not charge, their owners just didn’t want to walk an extra 10 seconds.TL;DR- nice facility, with lots of quality equipment, but too many low quality people. Try to get here before 5pm during the week or on weekends.

I love this REC centre for my family. This facility is very clean and welcoming, the ladies in the child minding are amazing! I feel completely safe dropping bc my toddlers off with them while I work out and do my classes. It’s very organized compared to any other child minding in the other gyms. The classes are awesome I love Cindy’s classes she is amazing and I have felt and seen many results. Highly recommend this REC centre for families!

Always an awesome experience. The kids and I have been having a great time at the pool during this summer. The rec center is generally really fun for the kids with a wide range of amenities to make it worthwhile. The gym and fitness center is also great with a lot of varieties.

Great place to swim! Small areas for large families is the only issue I've had there(I have a family of 7)Kids 6+ can earn the trust to swim alone" by completing a swim test! Double edged sword though as they have designated swimming areas. And there are strict policies regarding this. All in all an amazing place to take the family and have a quick swim."

The hours of operation have served me well. I must commend the maintenance team. From where i stand, this place looks well managed. Excited to see the Booster Juice kiosk coming soon and the regular seasonal pool maintenance scheduled. Keep it up Meadows!

The main floor area by the Dairy Queen, washrooms and change rooms smells like there is a major plumbing issue. The pool area is nice but the kids pool is needlessly cool. The hot tub there is about as warm as the kids pool at Clareview Rec. Centre.Kids Play Centre is nice though.
