Professional, talented, and a ton of fun, Shyah and his team did amazing work for our wedding. Our wedding documentary is something my partner and I will cherish for the rest of our lives and we're so glad we worked with Shyah and team!

If you’re videographer isn’t Shyah then you hired the wrong one! Shyah and Nav are amazingly talented videographers. Was very professional all throughout and really took the time to make sure he listened to our requests. He captured all the special moments on our wedding and made it even a better memory to look back at! Spectacular videos of our wedding day! We felt like we were being followed by laid back funny wedding guests/friends filming us all day! That’s how great Shyah’s personality was! Highly recommend!

Working with Shyah, Ryan, and Nav was like a dream! We had an instant connection when we first met Shyah, he was so empathetic and and warm, it was like chatting with an old friend. Despite some hiccups due to COVID, Shyah made sure that we were covered for our big day. Weddings are usually stressful but Ryan and Nav made sure that we had a stress free experience. Shyah was also very understanding when we wanted to make a couple revisions to our video, and we gotta say, he has the magic touch! Thank you again for the amazing experience from start to end, and helping us document our precious memories for years to reminisce about!

If you’re thinking of getting Shyah for your wedding videographer, I personally would 10000% recommend him, don’t even think about it twice! Shyah and Nav were an amazing team to have film my special day and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Before the actual event, Shyah sent over a questionnaire and spoke to me to get an understanding of what type of moments we wanted to capture the most. They both did an incredible job making sure all those moments were captured so naturally. The way the videos transitioned was flawless. Aside from the obvious exceptional videography, the attitude and energy Shyah and Nav contributed on the day of was super appreciated. The morning of the wedding, Shyah came in and greeted me with such high positive energy and it was continued throughout the day. He also made an effort to speak to my family and others in Punjabi, it just goes to show how much he cares and the amount of energy he really puts in to make sure not only you but your family is happy too! The communication is amazing, Shyah was never hard to get ahold of. He would respond in a timely manner even during the busy season for him. He made sure I was happy with all the footage and the way everything was edited. The experience I had was unmatched and I would definitely have Shyah as a videographer again in the future! Thank you for making our special day even more special and giving us videos that we will rewatch & never fall out of love with!! :)

I knew that one of my must haves for my wedding was a videographer. The day goes by so fast that I wanted to be able to look back on it and reminisce. I wanted my video to be very family oriented. As much as the day was about my husband and I, it would have been nothing without our family and friends. Shyah and Nav captured the day perfectly.Before booking Shyah, I could visually see how great his work was, but what I couldn’t see, was how wonderful he (as a person) was going to be. On the day, Shyah and Nav were like silent ninjas. They knew where to be and when, capturing all the important moments. I spoke to Shyah when they initially arrived and he told me not to worry. He couldn’t have been more right. We included the live stream for family and friends that were unable to make it, and the quality was outstanding. I’m so glad we had them to be a part of our team on our special day. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Shyah to anyone looking for a videographer, and you shouldn’t hesitate to book.

Shyah stuck out to us when we were looking for a videographer. He was so positive, knowledgeable and transparent! That continued on throughout our time having Shyah be a part of our wedding.We had Shyah and Nav originally for our Vancouver Indian wedding which then switched gears into a full blown 2 ceremony (Hindu-Gujarati and Sikh) wedding with all the festivities in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico! Shyah did an amazing job with the switch in plans, super supportive the whole time and he kept in touch leading up to our wedding ensuring all his details were still up to date and how everything was going. He went above and beyond at ensuring video being the least of our worries during our wedding week which is what you want during such a big South Asian wedding!Our videos reflected my husband and I perfectly and made us feel like we were back in Mexico celebrating with all of our family and friends again. Turn around time for our videos was great too and he stayed in touch during the process up to after receiving the videos making sure we were absolutely happy with them.All in all, if you want someone who genuinely cares about you and your wedding and an end product that’ll actually convey how your wedding was and takes you back - then I high key recommend Shyah and his team! If you are trying to decide whether or not to book a videographer and if it should be Shyah K Films - DO ITHiring Shyah was one of the best decisions my husband and myself made planning our wedding. It is worth every penny to be able to look back at these memories captured so beautifully. Think you’ll have enough videos on you and your friends phones? Not even close and the quality is so different. They captured such special moments so well and having two videographers they had multiple angles and didn’t miss anything! This is a timeless keepsake I will watch over and over and treasure forever.ALSO Shyah is so friendly and responsive, him and his partner are a great addition to have on the wedding day!

Shyah’s team was THE BEST. They captured all the moments we wanted to remember from our wedding day in the most perfect way. We were at first skeptical about hiring a wedding videographer but hands down, this was one of the best decisions we made - we'll be able to relive the most perfect day for years to come.Shyah’s expertise, passion, and artistry clearly comes through in his work– we had 3 different wedding videos (same day edit, highlight film, feature film) and each of the videos had unique aspects and styles that captured different elements from our wedding. He walked us through the creative process and asked for input on the vibe we wanted, music preferences, etc. and made the perfect selections for our videos that captured our personalities and style. He was also so patient and gracious with us when we asked for edits to our final videos. And shoutout to Elifer for his wizard editing skills and putting together an impressive same day edit that wowed our guests.But videography aside, Shyah and Nav brought the best energy and were so much fun to be around on our wedding day – highly recommend choosing Shyah and his team to be part of your wedding day!!!

Shyah filmed and edited two videos for our wedding in May 2022 at Hycroft Manor. One was a short, highlights clip and one was a documentary-style longer video which captured our ceremony and our speeches. We loved working with Shyah and were extremely happy with both our videos. He was a pleasure to work with, right from the beginning and even allowed us to customize a package of the two videos. He was consistently quick with responding to our questions, very accommodating to our requests, and was all around a pleasure to work with. He took a lot of time to plan ahead of our wedding day so he understood what we wanted, and he made sure to seek our input to understand our style and what was important for us.On the day of our wedding, Shyah and his team were professional but also brought so much humour and lightheartedness to the day, which we really appreciated! He worked very well with our photographer team as well as our wedding planner and venue, and he captured all the most important moments of our day without his presence being super obvious or noticeable. Our edited videos were delivered quickly, and Shyah was amenable to our editing requests, including providing a couple of rounds of edits to ensure we were happy with the end results. Shyah even helped us film some messages for loved ones who were not able to make our wedding, and for that we were are so grateful.We highly recommend hiring Shyah for your wedding or any special event. He took the time to understand what was important to us and what we wanted captured, as well as the style and 'essence' of what we wanted our videos to portray. He has an artistic eye for filming and editing, in addition to adding a unique edge that's modern and fun.
