Paradise RV Park

We spent from October 28, 2022 to March 10, 2023 at the Paradise Mini Golf and Fun Park. We found the management very helpful and kind. The girl in the office was exceptionally helpful. She helped me with a problem I was having scanning some documents on my cell phone, and one time when we were away shopping in Nanaimo we had a problem with water running from under our trailer, she called right away to tell us about the problem and she shut the water off at the main water source until we were able to get back to the trailer. The day after we left we received a call from one of the new owners asking if there was any suggestions we had to improve their services. If we are lucky enough to return from NS next winter we would not hesitate to stay at the park again.

The Owners have been very accommodating to me. If any issues arise, they are quick to remedy. They have reached out several times during my extended stay to make sure I was happy.

It would be a nice RV park, if they would clean up and cut the lawn. The grass was almost 30cm high and there was rubbish everywhere. We were there for 2 nights and the washrooms had never been cleaned at this time, also there was no toilet paper. It seems that the owner is not really interested on this business at all....

I been coming to this location for almost 35 years. It was amazing back in the day and was still pretty good until very recently.Last year I tried the RV area for the first time and we really enjoyed it. We enjoyed it so much in fact that we planned another trip the next year. Unfortunately over the winter the owners have changed and it is a completely different experience.The Mini golf is now ridiculously expensive. It’s not almost a dollar a hole. The arcade is still functional, but lots of machines are not working.The ice cream/food area has had a complete facelift and feels empty and characterless. The walls are mostly barren and it has an unwelcoming atmosphere. The mini-golf is still legit as all hell.The RV site has taken a serious down turn and I would 100% not recommend it. The price we paid last summer was 40 dollars less than we had to pay this year. The sites have all been repositioned very poorly (the manager came out and told us that the owners re planned the sites with no idea of how to organize an RV site) and the outside gate for security has been replaced with a rope.Public can now access the beach through the park COMPLETELY ruining any sense of privacy or security. There are signs of homeless activity at the bottom of the trail and garbage all in the creek beside the campsite.100% spend your money elsewhere.

We have been staying here off and on since last year and have had great service friendly staff and love the RV sites it is close to everything and the views are amazing !!

Wonderful place, full view of the ocean, mountains view in the back side, family and kids friendly RV park, super fast internet connections, one of the best locations in vancouver island, New owner and new management who provides great facilities, very helpful mr. Yash the GM gave us extra discount for our extended stay. Strongly recommend

My hubby and i stayed for 5 days. Since our last visit last year (we didn’t stay in the camp ground but visited for the mini golf), they’ve changed owners/management. We had a great experience. Everyone was very personable, and the marketing director (Josh?) came over after we checked in to make sure everything was ok and chatted whenever we crossed paths. They recently started breakfast service, we ate there a couple times, and after we finished someone came over to ask how it was and get suggestions to improve - or what they were doing well. They have a basic but good menu for all meals, ice cream and other treats…they have 2 mini golf courses, bumper boats (they’re a blast!), and an arcade. It’s a 3 min walk down a gentle hill to the beach, at low tide you can walk on the sand for 15 min before reaching water. There are some great restaurants nearby - Chinese food and fine dining within a few min walk - and other amenities. We highly recommend this for anyone with an RV. There’s also a motel adjoined run by the same people.

I wanted to write this review even before we left this place after 4 nights. Save yourself the money and book somewhere else.The front door to our trailer opens up to the sewer connection of the site next door; 3 feet from our steps. We have a ridiculously small piece of mud/grass (6 feet wide) on which a decrepit, rotten and broken picnic table sits. The sites are so small I feel like I’m trapped between 2 buildings in an alley. Seems like the new owners are just in it for the money and don’t care about the clients experience. The staff are nice enough but the owner is nasty and nit picky.I’m leaving this place feeling like I’ve not had a holiday with my family. We’re all disappointed. Never coming back.

Rented a pad in January at $900!! Never got to use it! I can understand taking 50% for the loss! And I tried communicating this! But keeping my whole $900! As a single mom!My RV ended up flooding while I was away for my birthday weekend, at my other pad, a tap malfunction! Completely out of my control, I had proof from my insurance! Photos, videos, estimators etc… ended up being a write off! And I couldn’t move it!!Manager called yesterday, I explained my situation yet again! Months later!He offered me a “really good discount”By the sounds of all your reviews! I wouldn’t want to stay there, not my kind of place! I prefer to be safe & not ripped off!Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!
