Great service and outcome from Donald on a small issue that turned into a huge problem. Bought a bunch of custom blinds which had custom clips and as it turned out, did not have mounting holes where needed for our window trim! They were also stainless steel so very difficult to drill. Too them to Donald for drilling and retrofitting and they fit perfectly! Great service and capability for when you need metal work/repairs for all those jobs too complicated/challenging for the average handyman. Highly recommend.

Donald has been making custom hardware for my line of handmade bags & accessories (Bronsino) for about 6 months now. The idea had been there for years and yet I never knew quite how to go about it. I can recommend Donald's metal working class. During the evening that we worked on a forging and machining project, I got to experience Donald's technical skill, creative thinking, and friendly co-operation.We went from never having worked together, to seamlessly working together heating, hammering and adjusting a workpiece that required quick discussion and action. Donald's communication and calm disposition made it a fun and effortless project.I needed some fine threads cut on my project, and Donald machined them just the right size on the lathe.Donald's shop is organized and clean, and Donald ensured that I wore the proper safety gear.Donald's enthusiasm for metal working, his transparent way of working with the student, his deep skill set, and his agreeable disposition make it easy for me to recommend taking his class.

Absolutely fantastic metal working, attention to detail, and customer service. Donald restored a family heirloom meat slicer for us. Pricing was very fair, and communication was very consistent as Donald worked on our project. He also took great pride in giving our entire family a tour of his workshop, which is full of treasures and stories. Not many people like this around--this is as great as it gets!

I needed some Z shaped brackets custom made to support a freestanding bookcase and during my first conversation he gave me a reasonable price, asked for a sketch, which I provided late the same night. I got a text from him at 7am the following morning to come pick them up which I did and the fitted exactly as I needed them to. Donald has a rare 'can do' attitude which is so refreshing! On this experience I have no hesitation recommending him!

I found Donald on Google after a quick search. I was impressed with the details he offered on his site and straightforward approach. After having a quick conversation where he outlined his work and cost, I brought my two metal art pieces to him to be altered.He not only kept to his estimate, his work was impressive and completed much quicker than expected.For one piece, I needed him to reduce the height so it could fit in a tight space. The piece was expertly altered and looks like it was never touched. I recently spent time with Donald working on a project of mine in his studio. I didn't have the piece of machinery I needed and also wanted to do the ion myself. Donald was gracious enough to teach me how to accomplish my project and allowed me to complete it under his supervision in his studio.I couldn't have done it without his amazing sharing of his skills and tools. If you are looking for a great workshop and an excellent and patient teacher for your daily welding jobs, Donald is the perfect fit! Very knowledgeable, patient and according to your needs ! I took a 2h one on one Mig/fluxcore welding workshopand it really added another skill set to my motorcycle repair knowledge. Your money is well spent. Also worth looking at the restoration work Donald does. There is do much love to detail in his work !Harry
