Viva Bridal holds a very special place in my heart and in the hearts of my family and friends. I recently went to Viva with my bridesmaids to get their dresses for my October wedding. Anthony was honest with us about the COVID delays and how to best navigate the current circumstances. The girls bought dresses off the rack, but the experience was positive and everyone left happy! It meant a lot to me to be able to shop locally back in 2013 when I graduated high school, and now again in 2020 when I am getting married. I think there is something for everyone here!

Anthony and his staff at Viva Bridal Boutique assisted in making my wedding dress shopping day perfect! They were thoughtful and honest and were able to help me choose the dress I had envisioned for my wedding. They gave great tips and suggestions on what would look beautiful and were able to keep my own style and tastes at the forefront. We had so much fun and the environment was warm and friendly. Everything went so smoothly that we had time for my bridesmaids to choose dresses also. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would recommend then for wedding dresses or formal gowns.

Great customer service and nicest formal dresses in town. I have gone there for my wedding as well as everyone in my family. Highly recommend.

I have been in the store three times in the past two weeks and had drastically different experiences. The first time was with my mother, who was looking for a dress for an event. We were offered an explempory amount of assistance and customer service from staff. The next time I came in was with my soon to be sister in law looking for her wedding dress. The same staff ignored us, offered no greetings, or help or suggestions, and when they did interact with us were rude, short, and rather indifferent. Might I add, we were the only people in the store. Despite this experience, she did find a dress she loved so we returned a day later to hopefully buy the dress. The staff continued the trend from our previous visit, forgetting even that we had been in the store a day earlier, and otherwise consistently provided the worst retail service I had ever experienced.If you plan to go dress shopping without your mom, save yourself the frustration and go somewhere more welcoming to all women.

I just bought a gown here yesterday and am so happy with my experience. The staff were helpful and respectful AND honest! They brought me various styles and colours of dresses until I found the gown I loved! And most important to me... they gave me honest feedback about the gowns that fit me and my body type perfectly. I appreciate that when I am making a big purchase! Overall, my experience yesterday at Viva is what will make me go back again and again - there are a wide variety of gowns to try on and they offer kind, helpful and honest service. Kamloops is fortunate to have this store! I will always shop at this store due to the amazing service and quality gowns.

I'm from out of town so we stopped into this store about 10 minutes before closing time. The woman said she would have been happy to stay a little later but had a wedding to go to herself so had to be out of there right at closing. Even though we were only there briefly, she was very helpful, let us look around the beautiful store, try on a couple of dresses really quick, and was even able to make a couple suggestions on things to try or look out for (while dress shopping in general). If we had stayed in town, I would have definitely returned the next day!

This bridal store turned what should have been a wonderful and fun experience into what I can only explain as the WORST shopping experience you could encounter. As a fairly young customer (23) I was treated with dismissive and disinterested employees who assumed I was looking for a graduation dress. Regardless of my serious inquiries of a wedding dress I loved the staff showed little enthusiasm in helping me. Despite the AWFUL service I found my dream dress off the rack and it fit perfectly. After discussing with the staff and advocating for myself they offered me a reasonable price and for that reason ONLY I chose to purchase the dress. I went into the store over four times and saw the same staff members each time. I was never met with a welcoming attitude. The day I went to pay off the remaining balance of my dress and take it home I was asked if I had even tried the dress on??? Despite trying it on at least two separate occasions when that staff member was present. Unless you are a middle-aged woman or someone shopping with parents you will be treated with disrespect even if you are an enthusiastic customer who is ready to purchase a dress. I cannot express enough how awful my experiences with this store are. I am a huge advocate for shopping local but I would absolutely not recommend this store.

I came to town specifically to shop at this bridal store and wasn’t impressed. I found most of the dresses were the same style, or very similar, and the attendant who was helping me seemed like this was the last thing she wanted to do. She didn’t help me in to the dresses, she tried to pin them but couldn’t (my mom had to clip them), and wasn’t really around to help me. I got in and out of 3 dresses while she was at the front looking for more. It definitely wasn’t the experience I was hoping for.

I already knew which dress I wanted so ordered it over the phone through Viva because they could get it in for by far the best price! I live out of town so worked with the store over the phone. Thus, I cannot speak to the “in store” experience or selection, but Lorna, who worked with me throughout the process, was very helpful.Lorna sent a copy of the receipts to me so I would have a record of the deposit, and when the dress arrived she took pictures of it to show me the details. Though they could have shipped the dress, a friend of mine picked it up for me and Lorna made sure that they had a record of her name, and knew what weekend she would be coming. Multiple phone calls back and forth to arrange all of this, plus payment. Lorna even called me on the Friday evening to clarify what day the dress would be picked up, because she wanted to make sure we knew that they would be closed on Sunday and Monday (holiday). I had known my friend would go on Saturday to the get the dress, but I had only told Lorna it would be “that weekend” so it was nice of her to call and make sure.I had asked that they package the dress in a box for transport which they did, and couldn’t have been happier when I opened the box. The dress is beautiful and I am extremely happy with it. Only thing is that I found two small pins which were still in the bottom of the dress (not affecting the dress at all), not the store’s fault since I did not “inspect” it together with them, and likely forgotten by the maker. When I called Lorna, not upset, but just to let them know, she was receptive and said she could forward the feedback to the designer for the future. All in all a very good experience.

I had an amazing experience at Viva, both the ladies and Anthony were so helpful in picking my dream wedding dress. I felt like a princess trying on all the gorgeous dresses, and the ladies were so kind and helped find dresses that flattered me. I had my heart set on one dress, but then I tried on another and fell in love with it. Anthony and the two ladies looked at the seams and the rest of the dress to estimate the alterations needed, which was very insightful and ultimately helped me make my decision. I am in love with my dress and can't wait to wear it on the big day, thank you so much Viva for making my dress experience so positive!
