It is a good place for you to relax, not a very large place but sufficient. Quiet place.

It is a tranquil place or an oasis in the neighborhood. Very nice place for a stroll after dinner or in the weekends, though the trails are pretty short. You can make about 4km walking throughout all the trails. The scenery was decent, a lot big older trees.

A park around the Observatory, still a piece of work in progress. Nice open space, grassland and woodland, and walking trails. Amazing collections of birds, coyotes, hares and even deer if one is careful and lucky to observe.

The David Dunlap Observatory Park
Great family experience, if you have a chance sign up for one of the programs through ActiveRH, lectures conducted by UofT professors are very informative, general public is allowed to come inside and become more familiar with the site, not suitable for children under 8 years old, as it may run up until 22:30 PM

Truly truly the jewel or Richmond Hill. The only thing if it’s kind in all of Canada! As a community we should all be in support of the programs that this facility once had before the OMB fiasco. Regardless, this area will be transformed into a beautiful park and I cannot wait until then. Currently the buildings are kept decent condition. Obviously some additional work is required to bring it up to standard but from what I saw from visiting it’s great. Great picnic area with lots of open space outside as well.

Great spot to learn about outer space; pick a cloudless night if you hope to get an actual demo of the telescope and see real-time images. Volunteers are amazing.

Planetarium day was such a cool and educational experience. Chris from RASC was a fantastic facilitator and guide. Just a heads up that it got pretty hot and stuffy inside the planetarium, for those who don’t do well in those conditions. But other than that, it was such a great event! Thank you and we hope to be back for the “How to use your telescope” event soon.
