Took my Seiko in for routine service on a 6R15 movement. When I received it back there was dust or lint on the dial and hands. I wouldn’t accept the watch back and insisted that it be removed. After getting it back a second time, there was still lint on the dial under the sapphire crystal. When I queried them again about it I was told that it happens and they don’t work in a dust free environment. Additionally, they damaged the hands during repair. I won’t ever take a watch back in here. In addition to the poor customer service, I have no faith in their ability to successfully complete a routine service.

The watch I inherited from my father had a band that broke. Not only were they able to find alternates available in store without needing to order from their catalog, but they also replaced it in a matter of mere moments. I am very grateful to be able to wear his watch again.

Nixon watches use an uncommon size for their straps (23). Other places that I went to only carry 22 and 24, was looking at ordering thru Nixon themselves until I found Stewart's Horology. He was able to get me the exact metal strap I wanted and did some grinding to turn the 24 into a 23. Very happy with the price and turn around time. Will be going back!

I left them a German automatic watch in June 2017, to which they attempted a repair, telling me that it had run out of lubrication, and gave back to me in 6 weeks. The watch did not work as the rotor did not wind the mainspring after the first service. I returned the watch under their service warranty, and they ended up replacing the movement with an unknown type. They did NOT return the broken movement to me, they did not even know what had happened to it when I asked for it to be returned. Again, the watch did not keep time because the rotor was not winding the mainspring. They tried to blow me off that I was not moving enough, even though no other automatic watch I have runs out with daily wear. I brought the watch back again for a THIRD time in October, and did not hear back from them until I called looking for my watch. No issues were fixed, at any point. The experience of being run around and having an ETA movement replaced by an unknown and sub-par unit cost me $150 and 6 months. I would rate them 0 stars however the limit is 1 star.I'm sure they are fine replacing watch batteries, but I will never, ever do business with them again. I would have been better off sending the watch back to Germany rather than trying to use someone local. This was the first, and the last time, that I will go to Stewart's Horology since the owner passed away.

Amazing service. Stopped in unannounced and asked if he could do a repair while I waited. He took my watch, disappeared into another room and returns with it like new. I had no problem tipping him for that service. And so reasonable with pricing.

Took my water resistant Seiko watch here for repair. I had been getting condensation building up under the crystal. They pinpointed the problem, which was the gasket for the crown. They dried out my watch, replaced the crown gasket and lubricated the gasket for the back of the watch. It was ready for pick up the next day.

I had a devil of a time trying to find a jeweler that would replace a simple watch battery. Finally someone recommended Stewart's. They are friendly and knowledgeable. I took 4 watches one day and went back the next day with a clock that needed repairs. And not that it matters but the buildings landscaping is beautiful. These folks care about the details and that is appreciated by me.

Excellent customer service and very friendly, knowledgeable staff. After going to other stores asking for help, and being told my watch cannot be touched due to its value and risk of being broken. Stewart’s Horology was able to repair my watch with confidence and made it look easy. They had no problem with me watching the work being done.Definitely will bring my other watches here for servicing. The price was fantastic.

It is very seldom that I write a negative review, however after my second nightmare experience here I feel it is well justified.Several years ago I brought them a 1950's watch that my grandfather gave me to be serviced. After receiving it back it did not function properly and the second hand fell off a day later. I brought it back for warranty and when I received it the second time, there was a thick layer of glue smeared on the second hand, and damage to the case from being handled carelessly. This service cost me over 600 dollars.Despite this awful experience I decided to give them a second chance this past week. I brought in a seiko watch for some work and on receiving it back this morning there are numerous scratches on the case, the hands do not line up as they should, and there is dust and one large hair on the dial. The quality of workmanship at Stewart's horology is nowhere near what one would expect at a watch repair facility. After these two experiences my $2,000 chronograph and $800 seiko are both permanently damaged. I would not trust these people to work on a $50 timex, let alone a watch you care about. Please do not bring your watch here for repairs.

Never been there before, but had been calling around town and no one can seem to handle a sameday watch battery replacement. Stewarts told me no problem, we will do it while you wait. And thats exactly what they did, as quoted, around $15! Very happy with their professionalism. I would definintely recommend them to anyone.
