Made an appointment for some one to come to quote on a furnace, air conditioner and tankless water heater for a home we just purchased. Dave came out and looked at all the old equipment and said a quote would be emailed within the next day or two. A week later still no quote.Instead of wasting their time and mine, I would have preferred they tell you up front that they are to busy to take on the work.Now that a week has passed, I will have to go through the hassle of finding someone else.Rick Wysocki

When our 24-year old furnace expired in the middle of the night in early December, S R Gillis & Sons responded quickly to my call and sent a serviceman that very day. He installed a temporary blower fan motor to get us thru the following week until a new furnace could be installed. He was easy to talk with , answering my questions very professionally. Later the same day Stan Gillis arrived to provide an estimate & brochures for a new furnace. He was very affable & did not pressure me into a decision. When my wife & I agreed to go ahead with the installation the office staff were courteous & helpful. A week later the 3 technicians did their job very professionally. They protected our floors & carpets before they started their trips to & from their truck & seemed to work together very well. The job was completed the same day & clean up was excellent. They wanted to ensure I was satisfied & gave me instructions about maintenance. I appreciated their thorough approach & the careful way the invoicing was handled. Unfortunately I inadvertently gave an expired credit card authorization which was noted tactfully by Sheryl Gillis the following day. My wife cleared up my blunder immediately. Sheryl 's office again came to my rescue a month later to alert me to the Feb 1 deadline for submitting my application for a $250 rebate from the Ontario Power Authority. She had provided paperwork to guide me thru this process & had already forwarded details of my purchase to OPA. Unfortunately I delayed sending my paperwork, thinking the deadline was later. Thanks, Sheryl !Would I return to S R Gillis & Sons for further heating & cooling service ?Absolutely & without hesitation !

I haven't actually used them yet, this is just a review on their quote for a service call.I just called them, their price for a quote on both a furnace and central a/c diagnostic is half the price of Canco and Aire one. The one review posted is encouraging. I am hopeful they will do a good job and not overcharge.The lady answering the phone was pleasant and clear to understand.

What was a great family business has gone downhill fast, the person answering the phone is so rude, I had to find the parts myself and at the end of the job it still was not fixed. So sad they were so good before, will never use them again!

I bring them them every year to do maintenance on my aircon. They are very professional. They know what they are doing. They come on time. Very honest. I highly recommend them.

Gillis & Sons as our neighbour had referred them to us. I have been dealing with this company for quite some time. I used to get great service at a great price, not anymore! They came out to diagnose a problem with my furnace, and clean it. Charged me almost $300.00 for less then 45 minutes work ! I will never use them again. What a shame!
