Sid Smith Artificial Ice Rink
It's pretty run down. There's usually trash in the bench area in the rink. In the warmer months, it's worse. The concrete is cracked and uneven, and it's difficult to practice roller hockey and just do laps. If there's not broken glass scattered around from kids hanging out there after dark, (since there are no lights), there are people using it as a fenced-in, unleashed dog park. It's tough to utilize this part of the park in warmer months.

Good ice and good social distancing!Came at 3pm before school got out and it was so quiet. The ice was in pretty good shape (especially considering all the snow on the ground) and there was plenty of space to keep my distance.Walk-in time slots were pretty well-organized as well!

Great rink with awesome views of the city. Visited in the middle of the day and it wasn't too busy. City staff were helpful!

Great local rink with a beautiful view of Christie Pits Park. There are drop in hockey times for all ages and skill levels throughout the winter and theres a mini change room and bathroom thats accessible to all.

I used to live really close to this rink and it was hard to find a time for public skating or family skates. Most of the rink time is scheduled for shinny and hockey. The worst thing is the shinny players will come onto the rink when there's still little kids and seniors and families skating and they're very aggressive and passing the puck around and no one monitors it. They don't have a zamboni on site and the ice is very lumpy most of the time, with big holes where the goal posts go.

Good ice rink in the Christie Park. The winter ice skating sessions and summer rollerblading, skateboarding is alternative fun.The view of Toronto downtown is another perk of visiting here.

They don't have their own Zamboni, so the ice only gets cleaned once daily. It gets very crowded for hockey in the evenings, which can be fun, but usually cuts down on your ice time too much. There are some nice city views from the rink though for sure!
