Je donne tres rarement des avis, mais 2 heures 20 minutes avant de recevoir le plat principal est inacceptable pour un restaurant avec cette reputation et de ce faire dire on s’excuse il y a un mariage ce soir et on fait ce qu’on peu avec ce qu’on a est inacceptable surtout pour le prix qu’on paye. Les plats étaient excellents mais froid….

The restaurant is in general good: nice view and quality food. But the waitress gave us an attitude just because we changed table a few times, while the room was only half full. We moved outside as they highly recommended us to seat at the heated patio. Then I noticed the radiator was right above my head and the heat was overwhelming. So we moved to the cooler side. The waitress was already upset and asked if it was the last time we change seat. She also told us we can’t just sit wherever we wanted, we must ask for their permission because they have a specific way of arrangement. So we promised we will not move again, and we felt quite embarrassed for being so demanding. However, with the evening cold wind rising from the lake I really had to move back inside. My left side of body was freezing because of the wind and my right side body was baked by the radiator. After a long wait, they finally guided us to a table next to the hall way in front of the counter, to punish us for changing table for so many times. The whole evening I had to watch people passing by us and “enjoy” our dinner in the hustle. But was it my fault if your “heated patio” wasn’t really that welcoming? And is it too much if we just wanted to sit and try a few times until we find the best seat, for a dinner that cost $230 for two? Did we deserve to be “punished”?

Le nouveau menu 5 services est absolument exquis! L'accord met-vin est exceptionnel. M. Roy ainsi que Michael nous ont offert un service hors-pair. Je recommande ce restaurant haut de gamme pour toutes personnes désirant expérimenter un voyage dans les cieux gastronomiques!

Nous avons été une première fois à ce restaurant le 14 février 2022 et nous sommes retournés à nouveau le 18 mars 2022. Le service est impeccable du début à la fin. Nous avons été servi lors de nos deux visites par Monsieur Sylvain Roy qui nous a offert une expérience des plus raffinée. J’ai recommande vivement ce restaurant et je vous conseille d’obtenir une table dans la verranda. L’ambiance est chaleureuse et romantique lors du souper et la vue est époustouflante le matin lors du petit déjeuner.

Le restaurant Le Riverain mérite une visite! Nous avons soupé sur la terrasse face au Lac Massawippi avec un superbe couché de soleil. M. Roy nous a offert un service d’exception avec d’excellents conseils livrés sur une touche d’humour qui a contribué à une soirée amusante. Accompagné par un bon rouge, ( large choix de vins) le souper était délicieux!

Totally worth the 1.5 hour drive from Montreal. Gorgeous restaurant with amazing food and great services. Every dish we ordered was delicious, with the crowd's favorites went to the duck tartar and the lobster rolls. It is highly recommended to go during summer so that you can enjoy the lovely patio.
