Hyne's Chicken Villa
This is a tiny rustic place about a half hour north of Port Aux Basque and about 2 or 3 km from a nearby RV park. The food was very good. We had the fried chicken (of course) and the pork chops which were all very tasty. We'd definitely come back again.

Try to have a meal there each visit to Newfoundland. Fried chicken great each visit, some of the best we had. Fish and chips were also very good. Looking forward to next meal of fried chicken.

Food was excellent, but it was really really really slow and I wish we had taken a window seat with the window open. Too warm...

Mom and I stopped by for lunch after a visit with a friend up the road one day, and Nanna Hynes was very happy to serve us and take care of our needs!Very good food, fresh cooked and so good! We will be back!

Service was brilliant.I needed wifi and they were happy for me to use it without obligation to buy.I did buy my dinner and again the were happy to accommodate my menu changes.And the biggest 10 star service was I was light on cash as my Australian cards would not work and the last town with major banks had a power outage the day before so I couldn’t use the atms. The accepted payment in AUD$. Thanks for your assistance.

The goodThe young server was very nice and tried very hard. Chicken was as expected, good but three pieces were, wing, back. And leg. Good friesNow the badClubhouse sandwich was the worst I have ever had. Whole wheat toast (as requested) then 1 cheese slice, thinnest possible, ham slice same thickness, 1 partial thin slice of tomato, 1 piece of lettuce leaf no mayonnaise detected although it might have been there. Maybe 75 cents worth of ingredients.Order the chicken and stay away from the clubhouse sandwich.

Lovely family run shop with traitional home made Newfoundland food. I ate here as soon as I got off the ferry and again before leaving the island. Fries are freah cut, burger was delicious, honey garlic wings were good and the cheesecakes, I recommemed ordering two they are so good, try this yummy place!

Best chicken place around! Will be back again and again in the future cant get enough of it. Chicken is amazing and the fries are cut fresh. Service is great and very friendly
