Be Wary of this treatment. When they say you are a candidate , well anyone pretty much is. Maybe you are but be educated. This treatment emotionally can cause issues if not responsive as well as financial investment that you could use towards a proven treatment, $10,000. dollars is a lot for many people.Research , research, honestly research. Don't get caught up with emotion as we did.Huge committment made in my family for my son who has Pure OCD, repetitive thoughts. He put all his hopes into this treatment, did not work not sure who was following his treatment in the clinic. Yes the staff are wonderful, but the Dr only saw him twice , once with me. Truly, technicians are who you deal with. Since his treatment ended my son has been going downwards as he had expected some level of improvement. He only recently has he received proper care with Doctors who are involved in his daily treatment.

The TMS treatment is a life changing program with tangible results and has truly been a transformative experience!My mother is a life long sufferer of chronic depression and anxiety. She is in her mid 70's and suffered a serious mental breakdown late last year that debilated her spirit and energy levels to a point where she was virtually bedridden for 6 months.From the moment we stepped into the clinic, my mom felt an overwhelming sense of warmth and compassion. Our initial consulation with Dr. Steiner was eye-opening. It was quite apparent that he truly cared about the well being of his patients and is very much science and data driven on the results. Dr. Steiner provided us with a thorough explanation on how the treatment works and the science behind it, but was also very realistic with our expectations.My mom's initial sessions were a bit up and down in terms of her energy level (especially given that she had very little mobility in the 6 months preceding the treatment). Fortunately however, she was an early responder to the treatment and started noticing differences in her mood and depression levels within the first few sessions.To give a few specific examples of the differences we noticed:1. My mom started watching TV shows again and was enjoying the content and entertainment (preceding the treatment, my mom had stopped watching TV for the last 20 years or so).2. During our daily drive to and from the clinic, my mom reported that she no longer looks at the world in a 'depressive lens' anymore when looking out at the world through the windows.3. There were visible differences to her tone of voice, which was stronger and more assertive (which my sister and I and other family members noticed quite prominently).4. As time went on, she slowly started to set goals for herself to come in consistently and start minor activities again at home (small walks, cooking, talking to her friends, etc).We cannot emphasize enough how grateful we are for the skilled and compassionate team at the clinic. Both Caitlyn and Duong (our TMS technicians) are truly amazing people. Their expertise, professionalism, and genuine care have made all the difference in my mom's journey towards recovery. I first heard about the TMS Clinic on the internet , did a little research and decided to try it as my depression wasn't improving Day 1 , the staff put me at ease by being very caring and understanding .This helped a lot as I wasn't completely confident that this treatment would work . Initially , I had an assessment meeting with Dr. Steiner and he explained the process...Then I started the sessions...In the first week , I don't recall noticing much difference....Week 2 , I started to feel better mentally and noticed that my mood was changing . Week 3 , I was almost back to my normal self. In fact , I found it quite surprising that the results were this dramatic. After getting nowhere for years , this has changed my outlook and gives me hope for complete remission. During breaks between sessions , I got to talk to other patients and noticed marked improvements in their mood , reinforcing my belief in the benefits of this treatment...Bottom line...It works...Special thanks to the staff at TMS Clinic..GS

Dr. Steiner and all of his staff are awesome! TMS treatments have helped bring me out of a somber, indifferent fog that has enveloped me for well over a decade. Turning back on the dormant bus driver in my head has treated the cause of my anxiety and depression- not just treated the symptoms. This treatment needs to get covered by OHIP so the real scourge of the health crisis in our country can finally be tackled not covered up.

I was a little hesitant to go through TMS therapy in the beginning, but I am glad I did! I no longer require medication, and I feel a million times better. The only regret I have is that I didn't do it sooner, over 10 years of suffering solved in less than 10 weeks! I really wish my doctor had told me about this. If anyone is thinking about going through TMS, trust me, do it! It just might be the best decision you have ever made!

I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Generalized Anxiety Disorder and tried many treatments over the years with marginal improvement. As a veteran whose worn various different uniforms throughout his life I can’t recommend this place enough.Dr Steiner and staff work around your limitations/ mental health issues to help you get through whatever you’re suffering with. The treatments are the only thing that has worked for me thus far. It’s slow going but it beats other more invasive/potentially life ruining options. Both the staff and Dr Steiner are extremely friendly and are there for you every step of the way. Wish I knew of these treatments earlier, could have saved a lot of colleagues and friends from suicide.

Initially skeptical, I found this place to be a rare site of mental health transformation. TMS and Deep TMS are effective treatments - I noticed a change in the energy of my brain, as if places were coming back to life after years of dormancy.The kindness and care of the technicians, through Dr. Steiner's guidance, amplifies the effects of the brain stimulations. I always felt welcome, supported, encouraged, and valued. They really do care about your progress and want to see you improve and succeed. Although it is expensive, TMS treatment is certainly worth it for those seeking new avenues of healing, especially if others have faltered. I recommend this place to everyone with a brain.

I began the TMS treatment with more skepticism than hope after having lived with generalized anxiety and depression for over two decades. I have tried various forms of therapy, multiple anti-anxiety medications and anti-depressants with little to no lasting relief and only more of a muffling of my symptoms so I believed I had little to lose in trying TMS. In the context of struggling with clinical depression for 30+ years, including various meds, counselling therapies, and lots of personal study, I was looking for something different and effective. I was tired of living emotionally “numb”. After doing some research into TMS, I sought out and found TMS Clinics of Canada. There couldn’t have been a better find. Beginning with the intake consultation, Dr. Steiner and his staff were understanding, supportive, very much in listening mode and not at all sales mode. Underlying all else is the environment of kindness and professionalism. I’m now 6 mo. post treatments and have successfully weaned off medication without falling back into that “black hole” for the first time in 28 yrs. I’m living, not just managing life once again. I can’t thank them enough nor can I recommend them highly enough.
