This was my first experience at Bard on the Beach and it was such a fantastic experience! We went to an evening show of Midsummer Night's Dream. The costumes were gorgeous and the performers casting and performance were perfect. We can't wait to come back next year!

Saw Julius Cesar... our first time at Bard at the Beach (we were visiting from out of town) and it was WONDERFUL!!! Beautiful setting, exceptional acting, creative set design. I highly recommend anyone visiting Vancouver this summer check out a play there!

We went to Bard on the Beach to see Romeo and Juliet. Everything about the show was amazing. I specially loved the interactive set design. The actors did an outstanding job and the overall quality of the performance was excellent. We had a great time watching the play.I’m not giving 5 stars because of their picnic package that was really overpriced in my opinion. We paid $30 for a box including a turkey sandwich, a small salad and a cherry pie.

Saw Julius Caesar on opening night 2023. It was amazing. I was absolutely enthralled. The acting was superb and the sets simple but effective. An outstanding rendition of this amazing play. Well done.

Watched Bard on the Beach: As You Like It. It was the most fantastic live stage show I've been to (and that list includes a Broadway show I've previously been to). The cast was so supremely talented and had great comedic timing and fantastic stage presence. I was absolutely blown away by the musical performances, especially I Want To Hold Your Hand" which is my personal favorite The Beatles song. Also the staff at the festival were so warm

Beautiful temporary venue, great seats to see the plays and the back of the stage might have a big opening, giving a nice view of Vanier park and beach avenue buildings as backdrop. Works best if you like Shakespeare, even though they do present some modernized, updated adaptations, which are more accessible" and fun in my opinion. Definitely worth going to at least one show!"

Went to see As You Like It last night. June 24th. Absolutely fabulous. Loved the way they incorporated the music of the Beatles into the play. So creative. I knew the words to all the songs. Great venue friendly staff. The actors were so funny with great repartee. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience watching A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The modern twist on this classic is refreshing and relatable. The bouts of 4th wall breaking comedy with a sprinkle of fantasy here and there, all while running 5 interconnecting plots was very entertaining. The venue is a semi circle seating area with a stage at the focal point. In addition to the stage lighting, sunlight from outside shines in from the 3 big open air windows on stage and the gap at the rear of the theatre. The actors are mic’d up allowing for clearer dialogue. The theatre seating could be more comfortable. The bathrooms are porta-potties and the hand washing is done at a foot activated water pump sink. The dinner is catered and packaged in a box. Guests form a line, take their meal, and sit in a designated outdoor section separated from the public by temporary fencing. The food was mediocre relative to the price paid.Overall, I highly recommend anyone to attend!
