The new owners have raised prices on many items and reduced stock, like others have mentioned. It's unfortunate, because it's now more affordable in many cases to go to Triple A/Persia Foods and La Grotta/Bosa Foods. I'm sure other loyal customers are now also dispersing their business, which I fear may eventually send Santa Barbara out of business for good. Doom-day hypothesizing aside, they got rid of arguably the most important cheese in Italian cuisine—PECORINO ROMANO. Sacrilegious, honestly. Hopefully they see this and stock it again. Until then, onward to other sheep cheese sources!

Unfortunately the new owners have ruined the store. The meat selection isn’t half as good as it used to be, the staff barely speaks English and seems soooo depressed. And they don’t know anything about the products they sell. Sad.

Great selection of produce. deli and European imports. I also noticed they have a wide variety of beverages, healthy yogurts and more. The isles are a little crowded but packed with goodness.

Recently was bought by new owners. Now it has half the selection of meats and cheeses it used to, all the products have been marked up a lot (the 3L jugs of olive oil are almost double in some cases) and all the counter staff are new to me and don't know anything about the products. Used to be the best place to get veg, cheese and deli meats now it's useless. Really unfortunate.

My family has visited Santa Barbara for over 20 years. They are a great resource for fresh, healthy, inexpensive and unprocessed food.Many people might misunderstand that the staff is trying to help you get in and out expeditiously to prevent risks in times of pandemic. In fact, it is for your own safety.Deli counter is as usual, terrific and busy but fast. Line ups are also very quickly serviced.I wish I lived closer to visit them more frequently. Too many good memories.
