There is no air conditioning in the halls, lobby and elevator. It's muggy and hot. You cannot turn the a/c very low in the rooms either. This would be a deal breaker for my wife. The elevators stop at EVERY floor someone is waiting. If you are going up, it still stops at floors for people going down. The slow speed is comical. Take the stairs, even from the 20th floor just to stay sane. The beds are really comfortable but the shower pan was squishy in an unsettling way like it wasn't installed correctly. They don't serve coffee in the lobby, but there are many places to eat nearby.I would stay in another place next time.

We checked into room 2122 about 6pm Good Friday, April 7 and checked out Easter Monday, April 10. I would not give this hotel more than 3 stars, maybe 2.5. Here's why. When we checked in, the front desk clerk was wearing her mask under her chin and wore it that way throughout our interaction. All other employees in the lobby except a woman who looked to be a manager were wearing masks. I don't care whether Holiday Inn requires its staff to wear masks but if they do, the policy should be uniformly applied from top to bottom. Housekeeping staff and a manager we observed when we checked out did not wear masks at all.Our room was very warm, as were the common areas on our floor. We called the desk the morning of April 8 and a gentleman from Maintenance arrived within an hour to address the issue. He did this successfully, the temperature was fine the rest of our stay. The room was fine, but I would not call it spacious. The water to the bathroom sink is RIDICULOUSLY low. It comes in a virtual trickle from the tap, it takes at least 12 seconds to fill one of the plastic glasses provided by the hotel. Trying to rinse a facecloth is an exercise in futility.Housekeeping wasn't great. We left our 2 facecloths with the used towels after night 1 and they weren't replaced. The cleaning attendant provided replacements upon request on morning 1. On our last morning, the plastic glass I was using was discarded and not replaced. This left my roommate and I to share a facecloth and plastic drinking glass, unless we wanted to call the desk and wait for replacements to arrive. The staff were universally friendly and helpful. If you get a good rate and/or are staying a single night, this hotel is fine. Do not book it if you are looking for anything more than a satisfactory experience, however. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE WATER DELIVERY TO THE BATHROOMS.

I stayed at this hotel a few years ago and vowed to never go back after water started pouring from our ceiling, but for a trip to Toronto last week my mom booked the hotel, and this is where we ended up. The room was unbearably hot, and even after asking for maintenance to look into it, we were told it was fine and the room never dipped below 78 degrees. 24hrs after getting home we noticed we were covered in bites, only to find out shortly thereafter that the bites were caused by bed bugs. I found bugs crawling inside my suitcase and have now spent the last two days trying to decontaminate my house. Do yourself a favour and avoid this hotel at all costs!

A trip to Toronto with my daughter and niece - a family girls night on the town. I booked this hotel because of the location. The room was unbearably hot, and even after asking for maintenance to look into it, a new battery was put into the thermostat and we were told it was fine. A further report to maintenance went unanswered. The room never dipped below 78 degrees. 24hrs after getting home my daughter and I noticed we were covered in bites, only to find out shortly thereafter that the bites were caused by bed bugs. My niece is also covered in bites. My daughter found bugs crawling inside her suitcase. All of us are now spending time trying to sanitize everything taken with us and anything that might have come in contact within our homes. This was reported to Holiday Inn and we were told we would hear back from them within 48 hours. (seems like a long wait for something so serious) We are STILL waiting for a response from Holiday Inn. Do yourself a favour and avoid this hotel at all costs!

Everything was amazing! The staff is very nice and always greets you with a smile. The rooms are perfect, very clean and comfortable. I want to add that the shower is very nice! The only thing that bothered me a little bit and the reason why I didn't rate 5 stars is I find the breakfast to be a little bit pricey, but that it just my opinion! Overall amazing place that I absolutely recommend if you're staying in Toronto (very close to College and Wellesley subway stations)

It's a really nice place! Rooms are clean, location is close to everything, and the staff is polite and helpful. Not to mention that the lounge is amazing - great cocktails. I'd definitely stay here again.

Staff were helpful and friendly. The elevators were slow and small. The room and bathroom were also very small (to the point where it was hard to move around). It was also very noisy. I had a hard time sleeping because of the almost constant sirens. Obviously the hotel can't control it, but it definitely impacted the experience. The room and hotel overall was clean. It was really appreciated that they had ice water in the lobby.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Downtown Toronto, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel's location is definitely a highlight, situated conveniently in the heart of the city. It was easy to explore nearby attractions and find plenty of dining options within walking distance. However, I must mention that the rooms at the hotel are showing signs of age. While they were clean and well-maintained, the décor and furnishings could benefit from a refresh. The outdated feel of the rooms was a minor drawback, but it didn't significantly affect the overall comfort of my stay.Despite the room condition, the staff was friendly and accommodating, providing good customer service throughout my visit. The hotel amenities, including the fitness center and on-site restaurant, were satisfactory and added convenience to my stay.If you're looking for a well-located hotel in downtown Toronto and can overlook the slightly outdated rooms, the Holiday Inn Downtown Toronto can be a suitable choice. The friendly service and convenient location make it a decent option for exploring the city while keeping within a reasonable budget.

Rooms are very small, she very squishy if you are more than 2 to a room. Housekeeping staff were incredible and so kind. They bent over backwards to make our stay easier. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was way overpriced and not included.Pool was decent. Gym looked good. Restaurants were decent food and price (other than aforementioned breakfast buffet).Rooms can be noisy if you overlook the main street and aren't used to city noises.
