Going through pregnancy and the arrival of our little lady during a pandemic was not at all what we expected. We did bump, babe & family photos with Julie and it was an INCREDIBLE experience. Julie was patient, gracious & accommodating as we navigated multiple lockdowns. We will cherish these memories forever.We can not say THANK YOU enough to Julie!

Julie was so incredible right from day one! We cancelled our original Banff wedding plans after receiving a terminal diagnosis in our immediate family and moved up our date significantly and over to Ontario. After searching through probably 20+ photographer portfolios (as our original photographer was unable to fly out for the weekend) we contacted Julie, and she responded within hours not only with an email, but also looping in the Videography duo Bonsai Creative for a video call that evening. It was a clear decision, we knew she was the photographer for us. She worked through multiple date changes over the course of a two month period, right down to the last minute when we pulled the trigger with 8 days notice.She was so detailed in the information she gathered before hand to get to know us, our vibe and our style. The day of she was so easy to work with, we felt so comfortable right from the start and felt so at ease. I am obsessed with our photos and look forward to having them as memories of our day forever. Would not hesitate to not only recommend Julie to anyone, but also to work with her again.All of our love and thanks for being apart of a truly special day!

We were absolutely blown away by the level of service and final product that we received from Julie. She was amazing to work with throughout the whole process of preparing, during the weekend she very professional & fit well with our group and in the end she sent us amazing pictures that we absolutely loved. She took all of the photos we requested and caught so many other moments through the weekend. She also went over and above in level of services and extra touches that she put into our package. Not only do we love our photos but our families & wedding party have enjoyed seeing them. We would 100% recommend JD Photography to anyone looking for wedding and/or engagement photography.

I did A LOT of research when it came to selecting our wedding photographer.. some would say I went over board but in the end I'm happy I did because after reaching out to many photographers and interviewing many we ended up going with Julie and we are so happy we did! She is incredibly professional and easy to get along with. My fiance and I are both awkward in front of the camera and have no idea what we want from photos really but Julie made it so easy in our engagement shoot and I was surprised by how quickly an hour went by. We can't wait to work with Julie for our wedding next summer. If you are in KW or GTA definitely think about Julie for wedding, maternity, family, or any other photo needs.Update post wedding: Wow Julie was so amazing! Many people have commented to us since that she was so friendly, professional, and caring. We were overwhelmed with the pictures we got back... we loved every single one! There were so many precious moments that she captured perfectly. Julie is very organized and will make sure she completely understands what you want, how your day will go, and what is important to you. We will not hesitate to book Julie again in the future.

We have had two sessions with Julie (newborn and spring mini) and both have been wonderful experiences. Julie has a great way of making everyone involved feel comfortable and relaxed and capturing truly beautiful moments. I love receiving these photos. I highly recommend Julie and will be using her to capture our family again!

My husband and I have had the best photo experiences with Julie of JD Photography. We first met in Waterloo for a mini session in the fall of 2022, and when we became engaged and planned our Toronto elopement in spring 2023, we knew that the only person we wanted to capture our day was Julie. Julie is an AMAZING photographer to work with! In November, my family did a holiday mini session and we still have people complimenting those photos. We hadn't had any professional photos done in nearly 10 years (and my wife and I were a bit nervous about being in front of the camera, as well as a bit worried about how our toddler would do!) but everything went so well and Julie made the experience so much FUN! A few months later I needed some branding photos done and Julie totally just rolled with all the silly things I wanted to do and once again, made me feel completely and totally comfortable. 1000% recommend!

Julie is absolutely wonderful to work with! She was highly recommended to us and we could not be happier with both our engagement and wedding photos. Julie is professional, efficient (worth noting for those reluctant to get their photo taken), and has a knack for finding genuine, candid moments. While we certainly aren't models, we love the way our photos captured us and our friends and family. Julie was also extremely flexible and accommodating as we made date/venue/timing switches due to COVID.
