Redmond's Home Hardware

Anyone who remembers the old neighbourhood hardware store, where you could walk in or call and get FRIENDLY knowledgable assistance, then Redmond's is the place to go. Al is always so friendly and willing to help and the staff are so great. I really do not know why anyone would go anywhere else for the things that Redmond's sell. Keep up the great work and thank your staff for the wonderful work they do.

Going into this store is a bit like taking a step back in time to when the community hardware store had everything you could possibly need. It’s also refreshing to be served by people who evidently want to help. It’s an enjoyable experience every time I go.

It’s been said before but the team here provide the friendly atmosphere, knowledge, advice and excellent service of an old fashioned hardware store. My father was in the DIY trade all of his career and this reminds me of some of his customers, thank you to all at Redmond’s Home Hardware.

Everyone in this store is so incredibly kind and friendly. I’m new to owning a home, and there are always so many projects to do. I know that when I come here that everyone will be very kind, and talk me through a project without making me feel like I’m stupid.I feel significantly handier and more empowered thanks to the help I’ve received. I would not shop at any other hardware store because of it.

Anything you are looking for at Canadian Tire with regards to home items can usually be found cheaper at Home Hardware. For example I went to purchase a new flexible exhaust pipe for my new dryer. Canadian Tire was $39.00. I thought that was over priced and went accross the street. Same one $15.00. Also the service level and product knowledge was much better at Redmonds.

The young stuff is friendly and nice, but the owners and the older staff, need urgent training in customer service and basic sales training. Canadian Tire is only 2 minutes away...they cover 80% of the same items.

Great place with very knowledgeable and friendly staff. The lady at the paint counter is amazing at colour matching. They have quality inventory and, if they don't have it in store, they'll be happy to order it in for you. It's also my dog's favourite store because she always gets a treat. She gets super excited if I say Redmonds"!"

Awesome staff, very knowledgeable and helpful. Great pricing on their stainless steel nuts/bolts/screws. Need that replacement O-ring, they probably have it, along with most everything, but you will have to ask as a lot of their stock is not on display.

The employees could definitely be more customer oriented. The management can be passive aggressive or snappy when asking for help. Prices cheaper elsewhere. Wider selection at Canadian Tire. Overstaffed. Many have more tolerance because they want to support the local business. So, an extra star for being a local business I guess.

Been here a few times. Knowledgable staff. The younger appearing employees aren't very respectful. Snappy and act like children in front of customers.. I understand since this business is locally owned and slower paced there is more leniency, but it's still a paid job, not high school. Feel the need to mention these employees are younger men. Not referring to the newer girl in the store, though admittedly I was skeptical about her age (I'm guessing 15). Would actually like to add that she helped me look for a few items and was patient/respectful with me despite me being irritated with the employees in other aspects (and my English speech being hard to understand). Because of the pleasantly surprising (apologies for the ageist assumption) service aimed at me I'll give a five star review, but just bear in mind that many of your employees need to brush up on their ethics. Anyways cheers to you all, just a friendly reminder for your employees because other customers may not be as kind about it.
