Shoppers Drug Mart

This is probably one of the worst Shoppers I’ve been too. The grocery area shelves are usually a mess, with old product (expired bags of nuts/trail mix).However, the reason I’m only giving it a 1-star is because of the pharmacy. The pharmacy is horrible, the staff are slow and look like they’d rather be any place but there - when you go to pick-up a prescription you feel like an inconvenience to them. To be fair, some of the workers are extremely pleasant, but more often than not they’re not very friendly.The store/pharmacy also never answers their phone. I once had a prescription sent and I tried calling 10 times over the course of an afternoon to ask them questions about it/to not fill it. My call was never taken, and by the end of the day I received a text saying the prescription was filled.Also, the prices of just basic products is ridiculous, but I get they don’t necessarily control that, but with grocery stores nearby, I can imagine why they have so much expired food - people are getting it cheaper elsewhere.Edit: The product I called to cancel but they filled anyway. I never got it, even when I went to get other prescriptions they didn’t even mention it. But they still charged my insurance for it.

The clerk that was there followed me to the counter as I had my Superstore reusable bag and my jacket in my hand. All I needed was to refill my presto card. He asked me anything I can help you with? I said no I just need to reload my presto card. Then I handed my presto card to him and he told me I had to pay first so that there isn’t any problems with machine and it goes through. Here is the thing. Now listen closely as I am not the first person who is filling out a complaint with this particular location. You pay the funds as they are filling the card. I have never been told I have to do so after I pay. Your clerk needs better customer service skills.

SCAM, BEWARE!**This pharmacy charged my insurance for meds I did not receive!!**The pharmacy changed owners and has gone downhill. Horrible customer service. Rude. And they NEVER answer the phone, nor do you get notifications that your script is done. Go somewhere else. We've changed to another shoppers little further away, super happy we did.

The pharmacy at this Shoppers has some of the worst customer services I've seen and experienced. Firstly, it's almost next to impossible to get ahold of someone from the pharmacy on the phone. Secondly, the pharmacists there show absolutely no empathy towards people asking for help. For instance we went in to ask about the new program where a pharmacist can write a prescription and if they were accepting walk-ins. The older gentlemen working at the pharmacy waved his hands around in the air and rather hysterically and loudly exclaimed that we'd have to come back tomorrow because he's there all by himself and didn't have time for this because he's backed up for over an hour". The Shoppers' website says that walk-ins may be accepted but apparently not at this Shoppers. Of course we would have known this had someone just answered the phone there when we tried calling earlier. There are many ways he could have told us that they weren't taking walk-ins but Instead he choose to try and make us feel like an inconvenience for wasting his precious time. Sadly this isn't an isolated incident at the pharmacy at this Shoppers."

If I could rate them any lower I would. Worst shoppers pharmacy. Pharmacy workers are all miserable angry workers that rush you to leave. You can easily tell none of them want to be there as they never greet you, never want to pick up the phone and if u ask why it’s always because “I’m alone. Can’t you tell I’m busy look at the line”. So disappointed with this location. Place has gone downhill. Avoid Michelle and old man that works there at night. They’ll give you a very hard time for trying to pick up your perception. (even after waiting for your turn in line for 40 minutes.)

I have been a loyal customer of this pharmacy for approximately three years, but I made the decision to switch this morning. Although I am aware that pharmacies often handle a large volume of refill requests, I find it unacceptable that there was a lack of care in their customer communication. When I called to refill my prescription (admittedly, it was a last-minute request on my part), the customer service representative informed me that I should not wait until the last minute to fill my medication. This response struck me as unprofessional, as it is important to consider that customers may be going through personal health challenges. It would have been more appropriate for the CSR to provide assistance and support rather than make assumptions about my situation. I believe that a more empathetic and understanding approach should be taken when addressing customers' needs, particularly when it involves their health.

This shoppers pharmacy never picks up the phone. Can be on hold for hours and even drive down to the store and can see them standing there just talking to each other. No one lined up. Can hear the paging system saying pharmacy queued... Issue is when I moved and needed to move my prescriptions over to my new pharmacy. My new pharmacy tried calling, faxing and even emailing the Owner. No answer..... Very disappointed

Martha at the Post Office is VERY RUDE! Didnt say hi or even smile. I was simply asking her a question and wouldnt even make eye contact. Luckily, Fatima was there to help and she was very polite.

The pharmacy at this location used to be good. Not sure if there is a new pharmacy owner but it is absolutely horrendous!!! You can never get through to check on your prescription. If they contact your dr but don’t hear back they don’t follow up or let you know so you’re expecting a prescription and there is nothing! I’ve been trying to get through by phone for 3 hours and all I get is that torturous music. Will be transferring to a different location or, better yet a different drug store altogether!!!

first all it takes lightyears for someone to answer the phone; I come around here often because I take more than a few different medications and not one time have I seen anyone pick up the phone even though it is constantly ringing.I always have problems getting my medication refilled because I told them my doctor works at the ajax pickering hospital, but for some reason they are absolutely convinced he works at the Scarborough hospital, so when it takes 5 days before I am out of medication and they still haven’t refilled it I need to go in. Of course, they contacted the Scarborough hospital, found I was not a patient there and didn’t decide to inform me. We go through this every time and it’s been years.This is the cherry on top but I am very aware that this is a busy pharmacy and they need 48 hours to fill a prescription, which is totally fine. I always order my medication at least 4 days before I need it. Last Wednesday I ordered my medication with 7 days left, My insurance was charged but the prescription has not been filled and of course they have not answered the phone. I am currently on hold and it has been two hours. Now I have been off my medication for 2 days, which is incredibly dangerous, but they do not care whatsoever.I am switching pharmacies asap and i suggest you do the same.
