My son and I were surprised to find a greater range of nuts and bolts hardware here than at Home Depot. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and I also found prices to be significantly cheaper than the other local hardware stores for what we were buying (hardware, hatchet handle, and boiled linseed oil). I recommend not overlooking Home Hardware in favor of the big box mega stores.

I went to Home Depot originally to get this smoker but they wanted me to pay for it and pick it up the next day because the person who could get it down was on lunch. This took a while to figure out and I really wanted to get it that day so we decided to check elsewhere.We decided to come here and we were helped instantly and all of my questions were answered. The gentleman who helped us (I think he was the owner) was so knowledgeable and even offered to drop it off free of charge (same day!). We ended up having the truck there so he helped us put it in and he protected it very well. It was so nice that it already came assembled. If you’re looking for a new smoker I highly recommend coming to the west Kelowna store. Good customer service is very hard to find but I have nothing but good things to say about this location. They’re always so helpful there!

Bought a dryer vent hose advertised for 8 feet. It only reached 6 feet and broke when it was extended to 8. Manager refused to take it back and wouldn’t listen to what I had to say. Sold me a faulty product and refused to take it back.. nice.

Not a happy customer.I bought a heavy awkward item and asked for help at checkout. Looked like it might have been the owner. I'm 80 years old. I was ignored.As I exited another Customer commented on the help I didn't get and offered to help. They were not at all happy with the way I was treated.

These people are great. We were buying a new barbecue, and at many big box stores either got the runaround (they didn't know if they could assemble, delivery was expensive, etc). Finally called Home Hardware in West Kelowna: delivery of barbecue was free, and assembly was free. These items were going to cost between $100 and $225 elsewhere, or were just not available.Well worth the trip across the bridge to get this level of service. Thanks very much!

Jay is now the new owner/manager - this is a good thing!! We got a pellet stove from this store. I am amazed at the quality of the service we received - delivered to the door, attentive and we ended up making another couple of deals before he left. The Celeveland Iron Works stove we received, took about an hour to unbox and hook up to the already I stalled vent and piping. The technology is wonderful, the temperature has been within 1/2 degree f throughout the evening, since the burn-in, which took about 40 minutes.We will be forwarding business to this great local business.
