I ask if I can buy a bike seat and post. They guy won't sell me one because I don't have my bike. His rational is that if it doesn't fit, then I have to come back. I ask if I can take just take a chance. He insists that his way is better. While posts do come in different sizes, there are common sizes and there was a good chance I would have gotten what I needed. But rather than letting me take the chance of only making one trip, he guarantees that I have to make two trips. I'm not there to make trouble, so I give in to his stupidity and make the second trip to get my bike. Then, instead of just letting me look through what they have, I have to wait for the volunteers to finish whatever they were doing, while another guy gets to go in and help himself. I left because I was frustrated. If they don't want my money I'll spend it at Canadian Tire..... Now that I think about it, I wonder if the guy was deliberately messing with me. His logic is seriously warped: he was saving me an extra trip by forcing me to make an extra trip. What the...?

If you're looking for a cheap bike, this isn't a bad place to look. There's a lot of interesting bikes for sale here, and your purchases help out the community! Awesome! But the building is quite a dump, very old. You have to go down a very narrow hallway to the unfinished dirt basement to view the bicycles. The guys who run the place are very accommodating and helpful though!

Wonderful corner. Friendly and considerate owner. A lot of people bring their bikes here to get fixed. The volunteers are second to none. They really know their jobs and willing to help or show you how to get things done. Friendly Winnipegers!!

I went in with my Daughter about a Year ago looking for a Road Bike that we could Work on a Little Together; the Gentleman helped us and worked on it with us and had the bike going in about an hour. Needless to say we were Extremely Happy!

The bike dump is the original Winnipeg community bike shop! Dedicated volunteers help with bike repairs in one of the most deserving neighbourhoods.

There is a management type of policy. Which is meant to be there to promote a laid back environment. But all it does is create a place of chaos where no one accepts responsibility, and whatever happens happens. Also the bikes they build and sell are found from Brady Landfill, and priced upwards of 200 dollars. Better of going to W.R.E.N.C.H.Proper service by proper volunteers.
