I chose to do a surgical abortion at 5 weeks pregnant. I was really scared as I never had surgery before. I was able to book an appt for later in that week just so I can be at 5 weeks (min). My appt was for 1:30 on Saturday and I arrived 30 min prior and filled out forms and was seen right away. After speaking to the nurses and the doctors here I felt so relieved. I was even offered anti anxiety medication and it helped me relax. After the counseling you’re put into a waiting room where you get to wear a comfy t shirt dress almost like a night gown. It made me feel way more calm than having to wear scrubs. You’re even offered a blanket while you wait. I didn’t find the wait too long, I was probably sitting for 30 or so minutes. They play comforting music too. The nurse brought me in and the doctor who performed my procedure were so lovely. It is a comfort to be in an all women environment where no one is judging you. They did an ultra sound quickly and I was sedated right after. My veins are quite hidden but the nurse was able to get it done in one stab. Just squeeze the ball tight and it’s over. Within seconds I was loopy and I was scared of being sedated but it wasn’t bad. I didn’t feel any pain and I didn’t even know it was happening until the doctor told me it was almost done. Everyone’s body will react differently and I do believe I am more sensitive to these things. I was so relieved to be done, and the surgery room is right outside the recovery room, so I only had to walk a few steps while being guided by a nurse. I had a little cramping (barely) but I was given a hot bottle and the pain went away immediately. Also the ginger ale and cookies helped. I did feel a lot of nausea so I sat there for a while. The nausea didn’t go away until I got home. I’d say about 2 hours but I was sleeping through it. After that I felt completely normal and the next great. I did bleed after the surgery but it lessened when I got home to nothing. It’s good to have liners and pads and advil just in case. I haven’t need to take any advil since though. It was a great experience for considering how awful I felt before my appointment. The ladies were so kind and helpful and made you feel normal. I’m really thankful I chose this clinic.

This clinic has been a good experience for me and I’ve been here twice now. The first time was a great experience, I basically rang the bell at 10:45 for my 11am appt, wait to be let in, filled out forms and sat there and waited to be called in (the wait was quite long 4-5hrs total), once called in you see a counsellor, you give urine, go into a little room with a change room change into your gown they give you and wait to be called into the procedure room by the nurse. I explained to the nurse at that time I had tough veins (for the IV sedation) but she got it on the first try and the doctor was great I hardly remember the procedure itself, the sedation is great and it was very fast. The second time I went in for a procedure, I took the 8:30am appt and was the first to arrive for the day so there was hardly any waiting which was amazing. However, with that being said - I warned the nurse (another nurse from my first experience) that I had tough veins, she poked my arm once and didn’t get it and was going to call another nurse BUT she said she will try once more in my right hand and she poked and said she got it and once again the sedation was great, doctor was amazing hardly felt anything. A few hours after I left the clinic I noticed my hand was all green and bruised where the IV was inserted - and here we are 1.5 weeks later and it is still GREEN and very bruised and tender. It sucks because my right hand is my dominant hand and it constantly pains. I am very disappointed in the nurses negligent poke, whatever she did was not correct clearly. Anyway after the procedure you are taken right into a recovery room with comfy lounge chairs, given a hot water bag along with cookies and gingerale which was nice. All in all, don’t hesitate to come here but just be weary if you have tough veins because I am still in a lot of pain by whatever she did incorrectly to my hand however the actual procedure part by the doctor was flawless both times.

The entire process was seamless, efficient and done with care. I arrived at 8:30 and was done at 10:30. The longest part was undeniably sorting out my insurance with the pharmacy downstairs for my IUD. Every person involved was kind, patient, and very personable. They all made me feel comfortable immediately, like how the “cool aunt” who advocates for harm reduction and always has your back always does.My counsellor was so friendly and immediately put me at ease. There was no judgment whatsoever, and she offered lots of empathy. She also talked about her daughter’s experiences with a hormonal IUD, and I felt very comforted that she was prescribing me something she approved for her daughter. They accommodated my phobia of needles with Ativan and the lovely nurse managed to distract me by asking about my degree, but her IV insertion was so gentle that I felt no discomfort at all. The doctor was knowledgeable and friendly as well. She did raise her voice at me once (completely understandably) when my O2 stats began to drop as my sedated attention went fully towards the mesmerizing ultrasound monitor instead of breathing properly. She immediately apologized afterwards and explained why she was so concerned in the moment, which I appreciated but also did not expect at all. Everyone here genuinely seems to want to be here and support every person who enters their clinic, which should be the standard in health care, of course, but it’s been a rare experience for me to witness such a comforting medical environment. Thank you all!

I had a very pleasant experience here. I went in feeling really nervous and the staff was wonderful the whole way through. I thought the whole process was actually very quick. I was in and out in under 2 hours. The staff were very kind, gentle, attentive and considerate. They weren’t rushing me or making me uncomfortable, they did everything to ensure I was comfortable and informed at all times. It is not a fun procedure to go through physically or emotionally but the staff here really did everything they could to make the experience bearable and answered all questions without hesitation. I appreciated the way they cared the whole way through. Thankful to live in a country where i have the privilege to make choices about my own reproductive health and for the healthcare workers who provide these safe & private forms of care that may be emotionally taxing.

Private, calm and welcoming environment. After filling paperwork I was taken to speak in a privately about concerns, reasons for proceedings with the termination, and options for future. The lady was genuine, easy to speak with, and comforting in her approach. A very smooth and calm process for one I feared would be the opposite. Every woman at the clinic was wonderful to interact with and left me feeling safe and secure.

Ladies, this clinic should be your first choice. We had to have a d&c after our 3rd miscarriage. I don't think I could have found a more kind, compassionate, informative, and supportive group of women. From the counselors, to the nurses and Drs, my experience was not traumatic at all, and was actually relieving knowing myself and my deceased fetus were being treated with the up most respect and honor. I have nothing bad to say about this clinic. Thank You ladies for making such a heartbreaking situation so comfortable and easy.

I unfortunately had to schedule a D&C as I tragically found out that my baby had passed away at 13 weeks due to a trisomy diagnosis. It was a last minute urgent booking from Mount Sinai Hospital and I was so incredibly grateful that they got me in as soon as they could as my mounting anxiety and grief could not tolerate it a day longer…I received a confirmatory call from the clinic a few hours after the hospital informed me that I was successfully booked. Received all instructions and an estimated time of 1.5-2 hrs.It was a somber day the morning of my D&C and I honestly felt that the clinic took care of me as best as I could have wished for. The admin staff were soft in their demeanour. Clinic waiting area is relatively modest but accommodated us all well. I received pre-procedure counselling and she encouraged me to let it out and cry as I just broke down again. The D&C was quick and painless, the MD confirmed the details they had to and it was over before I knew it. Felt drowsy in recovery and was looked after the RN before discharge with written instructions provided to accompany the verbal information. I was done within 2 hrs.It is now Day 6 post-procedure and my bleeding has been very minimal, occasional cramping and discomfort only. Have not had to take any pain meds.Overall, I felt that I was in very competent capable hands and was treated with the care, compassion and dignity. I would recommend this clinic as they were there in my utmost time of need and I am most grateful, thank you.

Not outstanding, but still trust worthy medical clinic. The Receptionist, nurse and doctor were kind of stoic. The best part was the post-operative nurses and care! They were very soft spoken, informative and empathetic. Overall I had a good experience but required a little more emotional support before the procedure. The other thing is that, when I came in, the partners had to wait outside in the lobby. Felt weird that they were all sitting on the carpet for so long. My husband couldn’t even get the washroom key as they wouldn’t let him in.I feel like they should have a waiting room (or at least few chairs) for partners as they insist patients bring someone to take us home ( as you can’t drive after sedation).

This place is amazing. I unfortunately had to have an abortion. My first was not with them and was a drawn out process in a place that made me feel very uncomfortable. This clinic was genuinely supportive, empathetic, kind, quick, painless, professional and got me in the same day and did not need a physician referral. It made this unwanted experience 100% less terrible. They are simply amazing!

The procedure was very quick, a little uncomfortable but tolerable. I liked that they didn’t rush me out of the clinic during the recovery period and they catered to my needs with no hesitation. They were very knowledgeable, caring, friendly and supportive. I really felt like I was in a safe space! Thank you so much to every single one of you beautiful women!!
