Dr. John R. Vyselaar Cardiology Inc.

I've been recently diagnosed with AFib and I am so relieved to have been referred to Dr. George Mak working at this practice. Based on my recent appts, I was treated with kindness, respect and total professionalism. I feel strongly I am in good hands and look forward to his help in the future. I would have scored higher if I could!

Every cardiologist knows a lot about Cardiology. That's no surprise, but what distinguishes Dr Vyselaar is his willingness and enthusiasm for answering questions from the most complex clinical through to what might seem obvious and simple to some. He's the man, or if you prefer the clinician you need.

Dr. John Vyselaar saved my life. Because of him and the Team at Vancouver General all my children and 9 grandchildren have me in there life. Thank you my friend!!!!

My mother has been under care of Dr. Vyselaar in the past few years. He is the only Doctor that she trusts. I really appreciate not only his knowledge but also his approach and manner to deal with his patients. He has been by far the best Cardiologist Doctor I ever seen. Excellent, caring and very knowledgeable. Always takes the time to answer questions and is very thorough. During the time he was away on scheduled personal leave, he had an wonderful competent replacement and there was no loss in consistent care during his absence. I would highly recommend Dr. Vyselaar as a trusted specialist.

I hope you never have to see Dr Vyselaar but if you do he is one of the most personable and knowledgeable Drs I've known in my 60 years.

I was referred to see Dr Vyselaar but unfortunately he was away and they placed me with Dr. Doe in his office. DO NOT see Dr Doe. He is extremely rude, abrupt and unhelpful. He gave me zero explanations and just clearly didn't care at all about my health or helping find answers. I called back to see Dr Vyselaar and the staff (who is very friendly and wonderful) said I have to get another referral to this office to see him unfortunately. I hope this clinic drops Dr Doe, I looked up other reviews for him after and many people had the same opinion - it's a true shame that I'm not able to get a second opinion in this clinic after Dr. Doe was so incredibly useless. I'm highly disappointed by this incompetent cardiologist. Thank you to the. wonderful staff for being so kind otherwise though - I hope to be able to speak with a different cardiologist in the clinic a some point soon.
