The King's Head Public House
My friend and I ended up going to this bar while we were walking by the beach and the neighborhood. Luckily it was their happy hour(3-6pm). I was very hungry so I ordered some food and beer. We sat on patio outside. It could be great if they bring water to the table before we start drinking or eating. I was very thirsty after my food and the waitress was alone and I couldn’t ask for water earlier. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

We stopped by “The King’s Head” pub to get a bite to eat on our biking journey.We got seated on the balcony quickly which was nice. But the food took a long time to get ready (around 25-30 minutes).The restaurant was not busy and I didn’t see any take out orders for the time we were there.The food was a decent pub food.

Interesting space, with seating on multiple levels. Staff was very pleasant, and service was prompt and responsive. The Smash Burger was very tasty -- I quite enjoyed it, and the side salad was also very good. Only problem for me was that it was quite chilly in the corner by the back door.

I thought the atmosphere was great.We walked in and we’re greeted right away and given seats right away.The pub was busy but there was space.I loved the set up. There were sections and different levels with great decor.We were there for drinks and appetizers and neither disappointed.Our server started out good with greeting us however she didn’t remember the whole first order. There’s no shame in writing things down. But then our wait times to see her grew longer. We would have stayed longer and ordered more if she was more present. She seemed more interested in chatting with the bar tender.The live music was also good.I’d definitely come back.With better management, this place could be awesome.*** Hello King’s Head Management,We were sitting in the upper mezzanine.

The fish and chips are awesome and fair-priced in this simple yet very welcoming and cozy bar.Someone next to us had a poutine made with mashed potatoes which made me want to try it too.They also have a good selection of beers at good prices and the staff is just amazing, you will feel welcomed here.A very good place to grab a bite and a beer after a day at Kitsilano Beach, very recommend.

We decided to sit here because it was one of the few dog friendly patios. We ordered a few beers which where good. The food, however, took more than 40 minutes to get to us and my vegetarian burger came almost burnt (as seen in the picture). The service wasn’t great either even though the waitress apologized and said she’s been working 3 shifts straight. Seemed like a bad day for the restaurant…

5 star local pub experience. Been coming here for 25 years (not during the non King's Head years), and came back tonight for a full-on nostalgia-fest, and food and drink prices from the 90's.The old King's Head sign is now inside in the upper level, but tye outside and interior feel exactly the same as before.Heads up it looks like a 50th year anniversary in 2023!Also...looks like some of the same bathroom graffiti from back in the day.Great options for daily specials. Had the Monday night snashburger special with salad ($12), house wine, and a Guinness (which was poured professionally!).It is and has been one of the great local friendly neighbourhood pubs. Here's to another 50 years.

Looking for a cozy place in Kits. King’s head is here. Staff are friendly. Chicken Taco and hot wings were delicious. Guests were mostly local and very warm and friendly. We will be back soon.

From the moment I arrived I was disappointed.It was busy and asked for a call back list and was informed there was not one only to have someone asked me 15 min later for my name and number for a call back.My server was horribly unattentive and scattered when we finally got seated. They forgot the silverware for our side. After taking another order and clearing a table brought us the silverware. My beer arrived warm. We ordered peasant burgers that where falling apart and the Chipotle mayo over powered the taste of the entire meal. The lettuce wrap on one of the burgers was wilted and had dirt.I was a regular here years ago and made the drive down for nostalgia purposes to find the only thing that remained was the name.
