This synagogue has a mice problem. The custodian tries traps, bait, mice, everything. Nothing works. Finally, he goes to the rabbi and explains the problem. “I have the solution,” the rabbi says. “Well, what is it?” says the custodian. “It’s a foolproof plan,” the rabbi says, smiling. “I’ll give them all Bar Mitzvahs — we’ll never see them again!”

I started attending regular services after meeting the Rabbis for the first time and being asked when was the last time I put tefillian on and I respond 60 years ago and he then ordered me to roll up my sleeve. Everyone at the synagogue is very inspirational and very friendly & one would never assert that this is an orthodox place of worship. I love recognizing my Judaic faith and being part of the Jewish Community. Thank you Rabbi Shlomo and Rabbi Mendel and all the wonderful staff, especially Alexander Karelin who is my Mentor and who opened up a new world for me.

My son loves the Chabad Romano Hebrew School! The teachers are so warm and caring. They learn Hebrew and Jewish studies in a fun environment. He is always excited to go on Sunday Mornings!Edit: Jan 2020 - Beautiful newly renovated sanctuary - and profession staff make this venue an excellent choice for any simcha!

This synagogue is filled with warm and kind people. The Rabbi is extremely thoughtful and intelligent. His words greatly affect myself and family in the most positive ways. The Israilov Family is very grateful to have this synagogue in our community, along with the Rabbi.

We recently had my son's Bar Mitzvah at the shul.From the moment we met with Rabbi Sholmo it was just incredible!!He inspired my son, and was such a great person to work with in general!We also had Breakfast after, the set up was stunning and the food was unbelievable!From start to finish ..THE BESTThank you so much for helping us make his Simcha what it was!!!

If you're looking for a place of worship in the neighbourhood of Teston (Elgin Mills) and Bathurst for Saturdays (Shabbath) and Holiday orthodox services, or any other day, the Chabad Romano is the place. Every person of the Jewish faith is welcome without judgment of level of observance. They have an excellent children's program as well.

Warm friendly Chabad Shul with the kindest Rabbi and Rebetzin. The preschool has been great for our children. The teachers really care for each of the children.
