This is my absolute favorite sushi place in Calgary. I do recommend reservations. The restaurant is very small and the hours are limited.The sushi is to die for! As authentic as it can get in Calgary.

The staff here are always very friendly.However the food just never impresses me as it use to, sashimi is cut thin and tiny compared to what it once was. Pressed sushi and nigiri was meh, just seems like everything is more for show

Not your typical sushi restaurant. This was a unique experience as the sushis were not typical rolls, but more like Nigiris. The flavors were quite new as well.They present the food beautifully (great for those who like to take pictures), prices were in line with competitors, servers who pop up with simple eye contact and a nice cozy ambience.Try the sushi made with snow crab, that was our favorite.The restaurant is small so it is always a great idea to book a reservation.

I was excited after seeing their online menu and reviews, so booked a reservation for dinner. I was sad to see their dine in menu had a lot less items for dine in. You ordered by scanning the QR code on the table, so felt disconnected from the staff and was hard to get a water because it wasn't on the QR menu. The staff weren't really around as they were dealing with all the take out orders. The restaurant is so small, they kept opening the front door because it would get hot, but would immediately become freezing so spent the entire time in our jackets. The plating looked gorgeous, but was sad when the quality was comparable Kinjo. Maybe just an off day? Don't think I would do dine in again, maybe take out because there was so many more options and cheaper prices for takeout.

Always an amazing experience here. The service is super friendly, plating is beautiful and sushi is always fresh and tasty. It is fairly small though, so I suggest making reservations.

Big Catch Sushi Bar
I have never had sushi this amazing in Calgary… and it might even be the most memorable that I have ever had! We ordered takeout, and they left a cute little note, and the presentation was so well done. The portions were PERFECT. I haven’t stopped thinking about it and I can’t wait to go back! Highly recommend the truffle mushroom—definitely worth the price

Best oshi sushi in Calgary, hands down! Service was impeccable when we went on new years eve even with the mountain of take out orders they received. Definitely worth the 30km drive!

Southern Alberta has had the best sushi restaurant in western Canada for a while now. And it seems to have gotten better. Flawless sashimi. Perfect rolls. Stellar pressed sushi. Quite possibly the most underrated sushi bar this side of Japan. Always impressive.

Our favorite sushi bar in Calgary! The service is always 10/10 and we really appreciate how careful they are about food allergies. My husband is celiac and has never had a reaction here. Try the Tokyo Smoke rolls and the Chef's Choice sashimi, they are both amazing! We can't wait to visit again.
