Jennifer’s Jazz It Up

My daughter has danced at Jennifer's Jazz It Up for 6 years now. She has absolutely thrived at this studio. The teachers and staff are amazing! They are so positive and supportive of the children and families they work with. My daughter has so many incredible experiences dancing at JJIU, she has done some modeling, has danced at MBA games, for the local theatre and soon will be dancing with the Mini pops! These are just a few of the amazing experiences she has had there. But most important of all they help her to be a better person, to be kind, caring and to think of others. We love it at JJIU!

Jennifer's Jazz It Up is more than just a dance studio... first off, the focus is less competition based and more performance base which means their dancers are given many opportunities to work with a variety of groups and choreographers. This helps with real world experience. My children have been dancing for more than 3 years at JJIU, and have had so many opportunities and experiences, that will stay with them forever. From my experience, Miss Jennifer, Miss Katie and the rest of the staff are amazing and are always willing to listen and support their dancers in anyway they can. They have truly created an environment that is fun, supportive and safe for both of my kids. I highly recommend this studio.

I have been a dancer at JJIU for five years now, and they’ve been the best of my life. I have learned so much and made many of my best friends in the amazing environment Miss Jennifer has created. They offer many wonderful classes and has given the performance team tons of life-changing opportunities. The teachers, students and everyone else at the studio have become my second family. I would recommend Jennifer’s Jazz it up to anyone wishing for a quality dance education at an outstanding facility with devoted staff and an accepting environment.

Jen is amazing to collaborate with, she makes everything run smooth and handles any problems thrown her way professionally and a high level of respect is always shown! My daughter Shaylah has been in dance her entire high school life. She loves to dance contemporary, hip hop and ballet. She even had the opportunity to audition for the Nutcracker in Toronto. When we moved to Port Hope Shaylah wanted to continue to pursue her love of dance. After much scouting and consideration she opted to be a part of Jennifer's Jazz it Up Studio. The experiences that my daughter has had with JJIU including the many friendships she has made has allowed her to grow into a confident human being. She loves going to dance because everyone including Jen makes her feel that she is a part of something so much bigger. There is so much love here and so much respect for one another. My daughter is surrounded by people who add so much value and sparkle to her life. She has found her tribe and for that, I am forever grateful❤️

There is something to be said about the fact that this studio has been serving the Port Hope community for going on 20 years. Our daughter has only danced there for 4 out of those almost 20, but in that time we've come to learn that Jennifer's Jazz it Up is about so much more than just dance. Our children have received vital character building and confidence in themselves that no other dance studio in town is capable of providing. The experiences that these dancers are exposed to are top notch. There are a few dance studios in the area. None can even come close to the reputation and industry respect that Jenn has established for her studio and all who dance there.

JJIU is such an amazing dance studio to be a part of!! Miss Jennifer and all of the staff at the JJIU go above and beyond to make every dancer and their family feel welcomed, supported and valued. The feeling of positivity and enthusiasm when you walk in their doors radiates through everything they do and the hard work they put in to everything is amazing! It is a magical place to be part of!

Jennifer's Jazz it Up is an incredible place for young dancers to develop their talents in a safe and self empowering forum. Every dancer is treated as an equal and the owner' and choreographer fuel the children with their own passion for dance.My daughter had some difficult experiences in previous dance schools but Jennifer's Jazz it Up has restored her self worth and confidence and allowed her to achieve her full potential.

This studio has been such an uplifting, empowering, and positive environment for my daughter. None of the drama that comes with most places. Everyone treats everyone with respect. Everyone is so accepting and inclusive. It’s honestly just the best and most professional place around. I can’t say enough good things about it!Jen is an amazing person who works hard for her business and encourages kids to be kind and confident. She is always sharing her beautiful sparkle with our town and creates a very positive environment :)I am so honoured to have my daughter be accepted into this big beautiful family!
