The GDL program needs to be fixed; it is structured as a complete cash grab with no real incentive to get off. If the backlog for full Class 5 persists even after privitization, I think the program should be tweaked to mail out full Class 5 licenses after two years of record clean driving with no demerits just like they do in Saskatchewan without the need for the advanced road test.

The backlog for class 5 road tests is completely unacceptable. You are not doing your job. It is up to the Alberta Government to step up and hire more Examiners so this can be resolved as soon as possible.

Caution!!!! This Company will scam you out of money. I was fooled by reviews online that represented the company well. However that couldn’t be the furthest thing from the truth.The company seemed legit at first with the communications through phone and emails. Then once the papers were signed and the car was picked up, I did not hear from them for over a week and I called them , emailed them to receive no response. So I called again the next week making this two weeks with no contact with them. At this point the fake call center they have set up that is designed to deceive you into thinking they have a legitimate company, kept referring me to email only. I did email all questions of the whereabouts of my car and how to pay them to receive my vehicle. So at this point we’re into week three and week four. Now I get a call from the representative of who would not reveal his name, and he said my car is safe in Toronto from Alberta which is the originating city. The car was supposed to go to Cleveland Ohio door to door. So four weeks later in my car is somewhere in Toronto, which the representative would not share the location Or company who had my vehicle. I then proceeded to call multiple times and the fake call service said that they do not receive calls or pass along messages that they are only there to refer people to emails. As stated earlier they were taking messages and intercepting calls when setting up the appointment to pick up the car in the very beginning. So I knew this to be un true and that they were in communication with each other and withholding information on the whereabouts of my vehicle for reasons I have no idea. I have never dealt with a company that did things this way. Then after the fourth week I spoke to the representative and he said specifically If I pay for the amount in full that my car would be at my door within 1 to 2 days. I paid the full amount reluctantly, on that Tuesday and then again did not hear from them for the entire rest of the week. I knew my car was in Toronto and I have some connections in the transportation business, although no connections directly with the Canadian transportation companies. I then decided to drive up to the border and alert the authorities that the car was stolen. Once I contacted the company with this information they then decided to get back to me and to say it was 007 work to get information on where my car was is an understatement. I Luckily have connections with some people who can get me information as needed. However before it got to that point The representative finally gave the information, again reluctantly gave the information of the whereabouts and phone number of my vehicle. These are fax. I then called the company where my car was in Toronto and they kindly let me at the Canadian border at Buffalo New York. That particular company was very professional and handled the delivery of my vehicle very well. I then had my broker and the company I purchased the vehicle from Work with me to clear the car through customs. To say that this company could have done things more professionally is an extreme understatement. This company should be avoided at all costs. They make promises on the front and they had no desire to deliver. I cannot tell you enough what an unpleasant experience it has beenFor no reason whatsoever. I have contacted this company to return a portion of the money that they took from a wire transfer. Based on the fact that they did not deliver my car. I had to go and pick it up in CanadaUse another transportation company.

No drivers fitness and monitor I was there no such place and they call them a government

Systemic incompetence and no leadershipRoads aren't being maintained to contract requirements, yet the government mci don't bother to enforce the contractual obligations.See all the un mowed grass?See all the gravel built up under the guard rails? That's supposed to be cleaned to prevent washout and road flooding, See all the down guard rails? There's one by Debolt on Hwy 43 that has been down, FOR EIGHT YEARS..See the cable rails and signage down threw whitecourt? Been down over a year.All those defects carry a built in penalty for failing to perform those repairs in a specified time..No one... enforces it.See the roads slowly getting worse in the winter?No one enforces the contract requirements.See the frost heaves that have killed people? Alberta Transportation can't be bothered to repair them.. they sure got on to repairing the one at little smoky Bridge after it killed a motorcyclist tho..They just keep letting stuff slide.The whole system, is brokenThe whole system, is failing us.

Dealt with Neil Steinhauer, very poorly addressed any of the questions I had from issues related to my request to getting a simple address and most never answered at all, at true bureaucratical treasure. Saved the the emails he sent me as evidence of his incompetence.

I am here to write a review on one of the road test Examiners. My girlfriend was supposed to have a road test 11 am today however we were unaware that we were not allowed to use a rental vehicle which is perfectly fine. The road test lady conducted herself in such an unprofessional manner to my girlfriend and her responses were rude, discourteous, disrespectful, harsh, and unpleasant when my girlfriend could not take her road test. My girlfriend was already nervous about the road test however the way she this examiner treated her caused to have an anxiety attack afterwards. I know their only purpose is to test drive examiners however they need a little tact, professionalism, when dealing with the public. I will not longer be doing any of my day to day registries with Devon Registries & Insurance.

This is the most useless government service that is unfortunately funded by taxpayers. These people are too incompetent and lacking of braincells to work anywhere else other than their useless department. Calling them for help is of absolutely no use as they don't care about your problems and will tell you that there's nothing they can do. Even getting a hold of them on the phone is a pain. Stay away from these useless, incompotent waste of human lives.
