Make sure you read the reviews before booking this place!

Clean house, comfortable. Host, Helen, most accommodating and pleasant to deal with. She came through when another reservation we had atanother house failed to show to let us in and we found the site most unfavourable. (don't book a stay at 49 Francis St. N. Kitchener...it's a dump!) Stay at any HB guest house and you'll be very happy.

It was my first stay when i came to canada and the host was really nice and friendly. Helped me with different things throughout my stay. Definitely gonna refer to my friends

The landlady has threatened and harassed us multiple times during our short 3-month stay in her property. An extremely volatile person, who would bang on your door at midnight, throw out your laundry into the garage, and remove utility (Internet) in a retaliatory manner. She also tampered with the electricity in our unit by messing around with the circuit breakers. She assured the use of certain amenities in the virtual tour, only to have her backtrack after we've moved in. DO NOT TRUST HER. She also has no regard for tenants’ privacy; she filmed us within our unit from outside our window, pestering us to close the windows (during SPRING). At one point she even wedged herself in between our unit door to prevent us from closing it unless we submit to her demands. She also ripped posters off our wall when she made one of her many excessive entries into our unit. Note that in the span of 3 months she has made at least 15 entry requests. The police have been called to this place multiple times, and they even said to film all interactions with her, since she has made false accusations against us. Not only that, she also attacked my racial background, claiming that my desire for promised amenities stems from my cultural superstitions. This is an extremely stressful place to live in, not only because of the reasons listed above, but also because the landlady is loud and yells and stomps a lot, and can continually be heard from our unit. The reviews of her other properties are also pretty bad; make sure you do your research before signing any lease with this landlady. Her airbnb reviews are also pretty concerning and we regret not having done our research before moving here. We have filed an LTB case against her, and encourage past tenants to do the same, because this is simply outrageous.

My second property whilst visiting Waterloo region . Helen has a true business mind on looking after her guests every detail is meticulously maintained.Thanks again Helen for a great stay over and when in Canada next I will surely stay again in one of your locations.
